Paula DeAnda - IIWY (If I Were You) (Video)
In April, Paula DeAnda dropped her first single of 2023, titled “IIWY (If I Were You),” where the record was met with praise and positive criticism especially welcoming Paula back in her element, serenading a beautiful ballad from beginning to end. She describes the record as a response to Diddy & Usher’s hit record “I Need A Girl,” and she’s seen lighting up the track with a beautiful cadence and delightful approach that mimics the feeling of the original track but in a more elegant direction. She doubled down on the release sharing a preview of the upcoming visual for the single, which grew with anticipation for fans to witness the complete product. Earlier in the week, prayers were reached when the video surfaced with a substantial amount of views reaching in under 24 hours. The visual is a masterpiece on its own, with Paula sporting the same lacy wear that she does in the cover art and making a dashing getaway in a cinematic viewing.
Wes Brooks - Ghostface (Single)
The first single of the year from Wes Brooks arrived in our email last week, where the insane record titled "Ghostface" has been playing in heavy rotation. I'm upset that I haven't seen it receiving much recognition on my feed since it appears to be high on the list of tracks of the month, and most slept on but were only five days in, so it's time to wake up those sleeping. Wes Brooks is no stranger to having hits in his catalog, and he adds another to the list with the record by connecting off the top with insane lyricism and throwing that on top of pristine production. It's a cataclysmic joint that will send hip-hop listeners into a frenzy and your favorite rapper cowering to the ballistics of the record. Expect the follow-up track to run rapidly, especially if this is how he's going off already.
OG Kee - Capitol 43 (Video0
We were recently introduced to OG Kee through her latest visual directed by DanToTheL titled "Capitol 43". The record runs rapid with an intense cadence to her flow and the spark of wit running deep in the viewing veins of the release. She's an ongoing threat in the video, boastfully speaking on 2023 as her time to shine and backing it up with an impressive array of lyricism. It's motion applying pressure with how easy OG Kee makes this look; she expels an explosive amount of bars with a nonstop feel to maxes out the record but still have you anticipating more which, to our surprise, we saw she recently hopped over Lul Tyler's viral hit "Big Racks" and placed it over her vlog of visiting the Big Apple. I'm confident we'll see her name more frequently; expect her name to ring bells in no time.
Derdy feat FMG Knott$ - Brinks Trux (Video)
The first single off Derdy’s upcoming project titled “How To Be A Playa” received its first visual treatment in April titled “Brink Trux.” The release featured FMG Knott$, where both artists were seen creating the likeness of memorable scenes from Next Friday, with the visual cooking up a recipe of creativity and grooviness all in the same mix. Derdy was placed first on the uptempo production, roasting up the flow like the greenery in his swisher. Up next, FMG Knott$ is creating a more personalize skew of bars on his verse that, when combined together, duplicate the comedic and dramatic vibe of the second installment in Ice Cube’s movie trilogy to a T. Check them off your list of artists who stick out outside the box and make this music shit look way too easy.
MsGold - City Going Wild (Video)
The TB Robby-produced record "City Going Wild" is the latest track off MsGold's "That's a Awful Lot of Gold" project to get the visual treatment as yesterday evening, the viewing hit social media feeds with MsGold in the cut celebrating her birthday festivities with plenty of gorgeous women in attendance shaking their rumps and putting on a twerking circle for MsGold's celebratory day. Speaking on how she's the baddest thing walking, Msgold loves to flaunt how she's doing better than you basic broads and back si up with a powerhouse set of bars. The newly-wedded queen of Austin is stunting in something that looks like it's worth a million bucks, bossing over haters in her way while they stare jealously in her direction. You think you're hot, but you're not hotter than MsGold; she's sizzling out the ATX with much attention being pointed her way and plenty more of it to be seen in the near future.
Nem6 feat 98Priest & Grimyboy Javi - 2 The Face (Video)
Received to us days before its initial release, we got to peep an early viewing of NEM6's latest visual titled "2 The Face" featuring 98Priest & Grimyboy Javi. The record's production is sitting in a vibrant direction with a harmonious combination of crooning and rapping to the mix, where the trio of artists are seen circling the bend of talent, each providing a unique essence to the track. Balancing a significant push to each of their musical abilities is being showcased in the viewing, something we easily hear but is better when we can see it happen before our eyes. Waves on top of waves for the joint, that is seasoning up the weather with a summer intuition that I can guarantee seeing the masses playing this when they lounge by the water to set the vibe for the function during the hottest season of the year.
Alex Irish & Dreamiecloud - Up All Night (Video)
At last, the long-awaited visual of Alex Irish & Dreamiecloud's majestic hit "Up All Night" finally surfaces. Shout out to those who saw their afternoon announcement and waited all night to see the finished product. The BTS looks, and teases couldn't prepare you for the entire viewing; they are seen surrounded by gorgeous, gorgeous girls in their selective sceneries that include having them sitting pretty upon clouds and placed in beloved areas. They said this would go viral, and I believe them, take it from us here; by next week, it will be in the 10K view mark or more; my money is on more. They made quite the dreamy record (no pun intended) that now has a video to match perfectly with the triumphant sound.
Lil Yodaa - Churchill Downs (Freestyle) (Video)
The Worst Rapper in Texas, Lil Yodaa, is visiting the Big Apple for a performing opportunity. To make the most of his trip, he decided to shoot a visual to a freestyle over Jack Harlow’s hit record “Churchill Downs.” Visiting the east coast doesn’t have him jet lag since he’s applying deep pressure right out the gate, vigorously serving heaps of the lyricism we’re known to hear from him. He’s not allowing the beat to breathe until he’s served his purpose of burying it six deep alongside the other production laid to rest because of Yodaa’s flow.
