The Weekly Dip 4/21/23
Back like we never left, ever since March, we haven’t blessed y’all with a weekly dip, but we’re changing that today with some new drops that we know y’all will enjoy to start your weekend off right. Back to our scheduled programming next week.
Nilaray - Hurt (Video)
In the middle of March, Nilaray released her first single of 2023, titled "Hurt," a follow-up release to her 2021 record, "Time Of Our Lives." That ballad would be our introduction to her angelic voice, where anticipation grew from there to see her next track surface. As it happened, she kept her fans updated with the sureness that a new track would be appearing soon, noting that it's worth the wait, which from the second it starts, you already know that to be true. She can see the hurt in your eyes when you see her on top where it was initially supposed to be you & her there until you had matters in mind. She effortlessly confesses how you messed up the bag to have her in your life; the hurt is now getting to you, and she's basking in your consequences and guilt. She doesn't give two fucks about your feeling since you weren't thinking of her when she was in a similar position to the dirty deed you did to her. She's been a boss since day one, and yet you still had her thinking she wasn't it, treating her like she wasn't worth the world, but now it's her turn to see you look miserable while you face the music you played and it's a tune she enjoys hearing. To continue showing love to her fans, Nilaray shot a visual to the record exclusively posted by MicCheckD, where its comparison to the record is undoubtedly flourished by the looks captured of Nilaray in her element, showcasing her style and cunning to glow in this viewing.
Goulla Hoop feat King Khali - Elevated (Video)
Earlier in the week, Goulla Hoop released the anticipated visual to his King Khali-featured record "Elevated," which is off his 2022 album titled "The Best You Never Heard Of." It's been one of my favorite projects since the beginning of 2023 and an underrated gem that the masses must hear. Seen in the driver seat of a purple jeep, Goulla begins to boastfully rap in this uptempo joint about his progression and grind with the goal of his success is to boss up by putting his people on, it comes with a price, and it has to be enough to bring his whole squad in together. Starting his day feeling hella paid, Goulla is seen roaming through the city streets, elevating his wavelength, inviting those to attempt to hop on his level. He stops at the retail Mecca, aka Target, to pick up Khali to channel his inner Kobe with the raps and become deadly like the black mamba when penning these words together. He's witty with the bars that will fly over leftover competition he still needs to devour, making it look too easy. The visual is stamped and pressed by QNTM, which vividly tells a story of its own while still showcasing the record's intense pedigree, giving it a more profound viewing to enjoy over and over again.
Bairi - Spring Cleaning (Video)
Continuing to 2 Hold Us Over, Bairi released a visual performance of one of my favorite records off her most recent EP, where I got in my writer's bag going over the amount of realness that Bairi throws at a certain someone. The record is fierce already, and adding a visual representation to see how vicious Bairi comes in such a heavenly manner; only she can make being bossed up look and sound so elegant. She begins to get lit with a mimosa in one hand and her other hand placed on her hip, and she is about to hop back on her bully shit with the talks for those chirping at her following right after. He says, she says with Bairi's name in their mouth, and she starts addressing it with a "don't give a fuck" expression on her face. She begins to unload the clip on the haters, fuck this being humble shit; she's putting people in their places and not holding anything back. Again, I don't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath; I pray they don't make the same mistake again. Bairi resets to her angelic self and hopes it doesn't have to come back in blood next time; Bairi Shiesty season is not what you want.
Pat Ron - Mirror Mirror (Video)
Off his highly acclaimed collaboration project with Pro Vida titled "The Highest Flyest Fly on the Wall," Pat Ron released the visual treatment to his record "Mirror Mirror" on 4/20 to celebrate the pot smoking holiday with a viewing of immaculate raps with elegancy in the sound to top off your evening like the start of a backwood. In a luxury setting, Trap Ron is seen by the pool with some voluptuous ladies lounging in the cool Texas weather. At the same time, he gets to dish out his supreme aura with the deluxe smell of prominent bars in the atmosphere, balancing over in prestigious efforts. Weaving in nostalgic shots to set the mood in different backgrounds, Pat Ron has Axel Kabundji capture his illustrious nature in the viewing to showcase there's no completion when it comes to this rap shit; this is a craft that ain't for the taking; get your talent up and stop falling for that goofy shit and support the realness. There isn't anybody better or as dope as him; get it through your mind and stop the hating.
Bb Trickz - Missionsuicida (Video)
Let me get ahead of this wave before it begins because, after this record, anything further will be a splash; I'm, speaking, of course, about new artist Bb trickz, who earlier in the week released her second single titled "Missionsuicide" that samples the legendary intro of Law & Order where it has been doing its viral rounds these last few days on social media with people naming her the Spain ice Spice and while we could hear the comparison we can see her doing similar numbers on a broader scale in no time. The face of a saint, Bb Trickz isn't one to shy away from how impressive her looks are; she basks in her good face even though she knows she's bad, ain't listening to anything that you preach; she did this on her accord to have to listen to y all's option now. She's in the cut with her ladies in the visual, showing off her expensive glow throughout her city, hair done up and looking fleek. I guarantee this won't be the last time you hear her name come up; expect to see her more in the upcoming months.
