Getting back to everything, which includes our weekly dip series, take a look at our latest findings and see what we are enjoying. Enjoy the music, become a new fan, and keep the support coming. We got a lot of great things for the month; stay tuned to see what’s in store from us.
Backwood Brat - Hot Potato (Video)
Women have been on a takeover in the hip-hop scene, with artists like Karrahbooo, Anycia, Wynne, Vayda, and more becoming staples to the genre; I feel we can add Backwood Brat to that list. An introduction to her eccentric sound came yesterday evening for us due to her most recent release titled “Hot Potato,” which intrigued us immediately and involved our curiosity to continue seeing how flourishing her idiosyncratic approach is. With vigorous storytelling ability and an energetic flow that brings a peculiar method to her raps, we can safely say you can expect her name to be something you’ll see very often on this side and in, no doubt, everywhere else.
Meka Jackson feat FABO - Spacetrips (Single)
Earlier in the week, Meka Jackson premiered his newest single with the legend, FABO, titled “Spaceship” on the radio that provided an out-of-this-world moment for him that seems to be getting better by the day. An extraterrestrial journey leads the duo to experience a high like no other; past the clouds, straight to the moon and stars, they glide through in an anomalous approach with an everlasting feeling to enjoy over and over again. Through a euphoric field, they lead this single to an echelon peak of music to feel anticipation during a listening experience that you can’t help but get lost in their world.
3K Bri - Crum Bum (Video)
Our first introduction to 3K Bri was off Cha’ketta B’s single “The Come Up” back at the beginning of the year, where we mentioned that her go-hard attitude bullied around the beat and constructed a series of eminent-induced lyricism that would be the highlight of her verse. Fast-forward months later, and she’s back with the raps addressing these soft-ass men in “Crum Bum” for this Dan2theL-directed visual, where she remixes the David Banner-produced hit to one of her own. Dressed like a drill sergeant getting these men to stand in attention and get off that goofy shit, you can sense already that 3K Bri is gearing up for something special in return to be seen either by the end of 2023 or the start of 2024.
Bianca B-Lo - Same Ol’ Thang (Video)
Bianca B-Lo recently dropped her last single of 2023, titled “Same Ol Thing,” which dropped simultaneously with a visual to showcase her ability to tell a tale of love or heartbreak. In this chapter, she goes on about how a DM from a previous love interest came about with hopes that a change of direction would take its course, but past emotions come running through her mind thinking ain’t shit changed since the last time. Why waste her time again if it will end in lies & deceit? The plot thickens the more you get involved with the release, another spell-binding ballad by Bianca B-Lo, who summons a rhythm of raps and R&B in a smooth setting to consistently control the vibes for your listening experience.
Mibbs feat 5B - UNKNOWN NUMBER (Video)
Mibbs is back on business with a new single titled “UNKNOWN NUMBER” featuring 5B, where both emcees react with an energetic bravado on the raps in this uniquely setting visual that really deserves credit for the creative direction. High-tempo production got them on full flight mode, with Mibbs gliding through the record effortlessly, placing his prominent wordplays on high precision that matches the same caliber that 5B is putting in where connect the two side by side, and you got a lethal combination. The record is as hot as the weather in sunny California, and I’m pretty sure we’re just getting started. I hope this all leads to Mibb's upcoming project, if not this year, hopefully right at the start of 2024.
LaRon Bryson feat Omarrisun - OTW (Single)
The latest infectious single from LaRon Bryson came two weeks ago when he dropped “OTW” along with a visual to double down on the success where the views and plays have been going off, primarily due to how prominent his rap skills have become. Alongside his feature Omarrisun, both emcees go in on an effervescent performance throughout the release, showing their own gifted skillset along with Valmir & Neezy's ability to construct another creative visual and showcase their echelon direction to do dope shit the easy way. There is never a dull moment in a LaRon Bryson release; I would start focusing on this artist if you haven’t because 2023 was just the beginning, 2024 will be time to conquer.
