The Weekly Dip 10/13/23
We’ve been gone too long, but why not get back into on the spookiest date next to Halloween. There’s going to be good luck today for y’all; you have a musical assortment of releases we’ve come across, and we are excited to share them with you today.
Lexa Gates - Rotten To The Core (Video)
Off her acclaimed 2022 album, “Universe Wrapped in Flesh,” Lexa Gates dropped the visual treatment to her single “Rotten To The Core,” where she proves that no matter the timeframe, we enjoy seeing a new Lexa Gates viewing. She’s seen luxuriously, pulling off devilish looks and looking glamorous in the process while providing her eccentric spell-binding raps behind the creative directorial of Mitch Ritter. From the blue hue spotlight shining toward the heart-shaped bed she lies in or the close-up shots of her in a pink tub counting cash, Lexa Gates is melodic with the Rated R wordplays covering in details of her plans for the evening. Sweet on the outside but rotten to the core, she doesn’t mask away the thrills that turn her on but instead leaves them out in the open for you to enter her realm to see what she has in store for you. Lexa Gates makes a fantasy turn into reality, especially with her tone, dream weaving in a mystified nature, turning the alone time into a connection; whether she’s in the room or far away, you always want to have her on your mind.
MsGold - Fantasy Girl (Fpg) (Video)
At the end of August, MsGold released her second single titled “Fantasy Girl (Fpg),” which followed after the release of her album, “That’s a Awful Lot of Gold,” where the summertime bop had listeners head over heels for the catchy chorus & the low tone of MsGold’s vocal creating a bit of sensual prowess to the record. The cover art had MsGold modeled in daisy dukes and a white tank top with suds and a sponge in hand that would soon be the scenery for the visual that would have jaws dropped and views stacking up in quick fashion. MsGold is backing up her wordplay, showing how much more her haters envy her career & success especially how she’s becoming your man’s favorite fantasy but fantasize all you want; you can’t have her; you got to be shining brighter than her and that’s not happening anytime soon. MsGold has never looked better, hot like the Texas weather and inclining in every release after the next.
Mibbs - Me & The Weed (Single)
Patiently awaiting the release of his anticipated project “House & Garden,” Mibbs announced a new single titled “Me & The Weed” with a visual to go along with it to hold us over. Along with the record, he has mentioned that his foot is deep on the neck for upcoming releases, and he won’t give in to delays anymore. Mibbs not only conducted a record for you to smoke to but to witness the lifestyle of keeping it one hundred in the discussions, maintaining peace and tranquility while spreading the wealth with his brethren, continuing to turn an eye to the fake shit. Mibbs hasn’t lost a touch of his immaculate nature to be ridiculously smooth with the raps; I don’t think we’ve ever seen him off his A-game or expect to in any of his future releases; it shows that prominent voices in this music shit take the dedication to heart and never have to sell their soul for the fame.
Andria Rose - Daddy Issues (Video)
Another sultry ballad from Andria Rose titled “Daddy Issues” surfaced in September, where the San Antonio songstress speaks about the emotions of love being foreign to her because of the missing connection of a father figure in her life. She reminds you that she’s in your city for a performance in the evening; here’s your chance to know her and give her the affection she’s sought after for years. Adding a bit of zest to the track, Andria Rose mixes some Spanish to the record, then combines some creative direction for the visual shot in both LA & SA to top off the release, only making this banger the perfect antidote to switch between summer to fall.
Anycia - So What (Video)
I think it’s safe to say that Anycia is coming into her own, especially in these few months, with her recently hopping off Lil Yachty’s tour alongside her Concrete Family: Draft Day, Karaboo, Dc2Trill and more to now headlining her own tour with a few sold out dates to confirm success is alive and well in her career. I don’t think she gets talked about as often as she should; she’s not only part of one of the most upcoming teams in rap, but she’s paving the way for women to find a signature voice, and we all know Anycia has one of the best out right now. She puts it on display in her latest release titled “So What,” matching a sense of style in comical, boastfulness, and sensuality in her raps. It's definitely one of the highlighted pieces of art to help you get introduced to her music.
Tash Hollins - Send For Me (Single)
Back in September, we fell in love with the sultry vocals of Tash Hollins thanks to her single, “Star Six Seven.” Now she’s back with a new single titled “Send For Me,” which is a top-notch ballad to romance over and share with a significant other. There is no place you would rather be than in her presence; you may have encountered plenty of gorgeous women in your life, but she guarantees you haven’t seen or been with anyone like her. To tell you the truth, there might not be another chance you get if you missed this opportunity with her. The record has a lot of jazz influences, and I think that one of the things that makes it such a delightful audio experience, it uplifts you when it’s playing in your surroundings.
Pat Ron - Logo Ralph (Video)
Another visual treatment from Pat Ron’s highly acclaimed collab with Por Vida, “The Highest Flyest Fly on The Wall,” surfaced with viewers seeing the creative spill of The Daily Ooze behind the lens to bring alive the jazzy-infused record to life, mixing it with some edits that will indeed have you on viewing trip. Pat Ron is in the cut on back-to-back sequences rapping and chiefing in switching over color hoodies, his own to be exact, while basking in the lyrical barrage he’s putting on display. The project is still on steady rotation, and with these visuals bringing it back up in discussion, Pat Ron can coast for the remaining part of the year, but something tells us he has more in store dropping before 2023 ends.
Adrilla feat Banco - Brim (Video)
Fresh off the release of his new EP, “Wish Me Luck, Adrilla dropped the visual to the Banco-featured record “Brim” off the project that him turning any function into the life of the party. Mixed with auto-tune and his known signature nature to be illustrious when detailing his lifestyle on wax, he has this vigorous bop going up with notoriously chill vibes. Laid back with wit in the mix, Adrilla keeps the tempo running smoothly, then has Banco dropping those known prominent bars to have shots pouring up for the evening. It’s that type of satisfaction to the viewers that anytime these link together, you are bound to have yourself a hit on your hands to view and play for the remainder of the months
