Duvin - Big Duvin In The Cut (Album)

An unexpected release from Duvin came at the end of May, where he linked with his usual suspects of artists behind his prominent production. Which gave us another compilation project following up with his "Hello Duvin" series that would be titled after his latest producer's tag: "Big Duvin In The Cut." He's booted up with a string of hits throughout this album which could mean that some of these artists featured on the project could have an album of their own on the way & the tape here could be giving us a taste of what to expect by also showing out with an appreciation for Duvin.

The introduction to the album is insane, with Chico Big Benji coming correct right out the gate on "Yeah," which has him rocking any opp back and forth in the tundra before they drown in his wave. It's an excellent alley-hoop before we get into the record "No Biggie" that has Mateo Sun spitting that fire flame over this sinister sample that sounds like the appearance of a villain showing up in a movie to cause complete mayhem. Still, it's perfect for Mateo since he does the beat justice while letting these rappers know in the process that he's still the GOAT in the rap scene. Keeping Mateo Sun behind the mic and adding Kiro Almxghty with KiddKill for "Pass It" is a recipe for destruction since whatever these artists touch turns into chaos. You can expect that you'll have a problem with either of the three you're going to get smoke, so it's best to leave them alone. Other highlights from the project are the nice introduction to BTB Savage's content since we were unfamiliar with him before, but he has a nice flow that's wet like the threes from "Steve Kerr." "Pound For Pound," Rxalu Loaded is going to get to the paper regardless; he's about the grind just like his assistance to the track Mateo Sun who is power housing through this track with such ease. I enjoy when Duvin gets to slow the beats down a bit towards the end of his project, and the "Kill The Noise" vibe that he has attached with Swanny's vocals is just too pristine that you can enjoy that ballad over and over again. It goes well with the GAWF & Kova record "Up In Cali" that shares their journey from the Lone Star State to the Honey Sunshine State, where they've been spending a reasonable amount of time out there on the low with music that's being produced, no word yet on when it would be surfacing. Still, I'm sure they have plans for their listeners very soon. Last but not least, a record with Bambi to anchor the project that is more vocal-oriented, which we love to hear since it balances out the project to be the perfect structure for your listening experience.

The project flew under the radar for most, but if you enjoy Duvin production, then you knew about its release. I predict some visuals from the project will make their way out very soon then people will be coming back to this project immediately. Let's get things rolling for Duvin and get this project pushed out throughout the week while making sure to share it on all social media platforms.
