Proz Taylor - Bomb On Me (Video)

If I'm not mistaken, "Electric Crush" was the 1st album breakdown we did as part of our series "The Deep End," electronica laced journey into many facets of love. It's an album that is actually very close to reaching its one-year anniversary, so it's only fitting Proz bless us with another visual treatment from the album with the video for "Bomb On Me." It's a heartbreaking record yet, one you can groove to, I suppose party the pain away to. It's unfortunate that the person who's blowing you up wounds up being the one who was lighting your fuse, to begin with.

I love how the visuals mix in a more modernist feel with that old, grainy VHS feel; Proz seems like a cool enough guy, so I don't see why anybody would want to make him hot, but it's that fervor he's still feeling for her. It's almost like he's imploding from within due to the bomb exploding from his external being, but all is fair in love & war, as they say. She did change his world, hopefully for the better, but at the time, it probably didn't seem like it cause a bomb; it can cause a whole lot more collateral damage than you expected. In this visual, it's like he's just brushing off the ash.

The editing in this video is beautifully done. I'm not sure where exactly it was filmed, but it's full of desert-like terrain. A little cabin in a remote location, so if a bomb was to be dropped again, there's plenty of widespread lands to drop it on rather than him. The most that'll get taken out is some hedges, at least that's the hope, but we can't control the actions of others. She was probably holding that bomb for a long while before she decided to drop it. He gave her all the love he was capable of giving, so why she had to do him like that, one can only surmise, but she's lucky he never dropped the bomb I'm sure he's been carrying.
