King Khali - Sign Me Up (Video)

I don’t know about the rest of you all, but when I see Khali has a new anything coming. My initial thought is “Sign Me Up,” his subscription is not one worthy of canceling; in fact, payments will be made in a timely manner. Khali has been on a tear lately with these minute-long freestyles; very few lyricists can pack as much varied subject matter, chock full of substance into minute-long verbal displays of power as he can. QNTM has been executing the visuals for all four thus far & come to think of it, who else is doing anything quite like this?

It’s so new & refreshing to hear & see Khali keeping his fingers to the pulse of what people are demanding from him. He’s one of those artists who only speaks when he has something to say & doesn’t need a whole diatribe of words to get his point across, clearly with how concisely he’s delivering his messages. On “Sign Me Up,” we see Khali posted up in the studio & the girl he’s fooling with; she’s interrupting the session. Yearning for some time with the “star,” she already knows he is, but he’s busy on his grind & she needs to respect that; nobody likes a partner who’s clingy.

Over Dubbisdope production, which is as smooth & soulful as expected, I mean, the sample, c’mon, you already know when Khali gets over these soul samples; he’s going to be spitting game. These gems are to be picked up by up & comers who may find themselves in similar positions, urging them not to fall victim to such distractions & rather keep their noses to the grindstones. Hopefully, she isn’t offended, it’s not that she isn’t bad, but unless she’s Chloe Bailey, Khali isn’t about to drop everything he’s working towards for a one-night stand but hey, if she somehow knows how to reach her, sign him up!
