Le$ & DJ Mr. Rogers - Settle 4 Le$ 3 (Album)
The winter night skies are in for a treat; Le$ & DJ Mr.Rogers linked back up once again for their third collaboration, “Settle 4 Le$ 3,” which is shaking up the stars as this project is becoming a fourth-quarter success. With features from the likes of Killa Kyleon, Slim, Guerilla, Slim Thug & Premo Rice, Le$ still stands in the spotlight throughout the 15-track release, putting on for Texas in a significant way over DJ Mr. Rogers production that is executed with dirty south themes and pristine sounds that you can expect to rank among the top tiers drops for 2023.
Waking up in the morning and getting to the grind, Le$ talks about his prominent mentality, success, perseverance & many other things when detailing his lifestyle, which is exclusive in “One Of One.” He takes you through a typical day for the Houston emcee to hop out of bed, with his swag turned up to the maximum, choosing through his fine assortment of whips to cruise around in the city, bombarding through white populated areas with his music blaring on the way to his newly-surfaced shops, this the life he works hard to get so why not bask in the glory of it coming to fruition. Even with Le$ speaking on his daily regimen, he still proceeds to drop jewels in his wordplay, which he does nonchalantly; a lot of wisdom in his repertoire, holding it down like a fifth wheel in the slab, something always spectacular in his lyricism. Swnaging lane to lane in a parade of hits, including “Ca$h Flow” with Slim Guerilla with talks of the vertical lines through the S’s, while showing an impressive performance of lyrical dominance in the mix got the streets gliding with prominent power from the two. Fan-favorite tracks like “A I Headband” & Playas & Ps” with Premo Rick are already knocking pictures off the wall with how aggressively the truck rattles when they get to playing in the whip. The project holds some of my favorite joints already, which, you know, will have the whole tape spinning in rotation for the next of months. We even got DJ Mr Rogers spinning in the cut on “Ridin In Mr. Rogers Neighborhood 2K23.” adding more trill to the certified production laced throughout the album, connecting more prestigious power to his legendary status. Le$ & Mr Rogers tripled down on the essence of the south that went missing for a bit, they bring back memories and more to enjoy those moments lived. Le$ never disappoints with his magnificent catalog, one of the best still doing it and the greatest mind and lyricist of Texas who deserves his flowers and more. Along with the project’s release, Le$ got to enjoy the grand opening of him and Jorgey’s flagship shop for DIOS (3917 Main St, Houston, TX 77002) during the weekend with tons of supporters showing up.
