Ali Almighty- Doomsday (Album)
At the top of the month, I was introduced to Ali Almighty due to seeing a feature from Brionne, who we’ve written about plenty of times before, on her latest album titled “Doomsday” which got me curious since I was unfamiliar with the name and hoped it would possibly add her to our radar. To make a long story short, it most certainly did; I was ecstatic with our finding to her music since the 8-track project paved the way for us to get familiar with her boastful sound and to see why it’s best to start taking notice now since we can assure you that her name will be synonymous with victory among the masses in due time.
You know how tough a record has to be where immediately you get a stank face when you hear the production like this; it don’t walk you in, it pushes you to the front of the door and kicks open itself where Ali begins to question the mentality of people who are out here talking a big game but not grinding on the plays to make it happen. It’s confusing to her since she made up the groundwork to get where she’s at, but people be looking to take the shortcut and fail miserably in the end. You can already tell from the start she’s a go-getter by any means, so start recognizing the real when you see her approaching. Designer daydreams coming true with the guap on her mind, Ali rallies around with a resilient exterior in her music, announcing she’s “THAT Girl” and backing it up with prestigious raps that got her feeling herself. Still, when you look good as her, you flaunt it for the haters to admire. Ali Almighty is soaring with these records, with a kickback arsenal on records like “Feelingz” & “Currently Freestyle.” You can already sense the hostile ability of her flow it’s like whipping crack in the kitchen to causing chaos in a swift release which we really hate to be on the other side of her prowess. The project is incredible, from the production to the swank lyricism from Ali and to the prominent direction where it starts at this intense tempo and slowly builds down to this softened tone where she digs into relationships, her come up and growth getting deeper with the listeners to show much more of her talent. Especially in tracks with Brionne & Cush With A C you hear more congenial notions about her & her life; I appreciate artists like that, they can rap about real shit but also get on a personal level with it, most don’t speak from the heart but Ali Alighty showcases she’s more than a emcee but a true talent whose god gifted with raps to create something authentic that the rap game has been missing.
Best believe Ali Almighty will stay close on our radar, especially entering the new year, we hope we get to feature some of her music again real soon. In the meantime, we recommend if you aren’t hipped to Ali already, then you start by checking out her album here and sharing it around on all social media platforms.
