Yesterday evening when I was looking for new music to feature on the site, I came across this alluring preview on Instagram of NYC native Abby T’s latest visual titled “iSpy.” The mesmerizing viewing instantly hooked me with the intense production & the efficacious nature of Abby T’s energy throughout the release, which first appeared on her “Crush” EP back in November that I highly recommended checking out after seeing the complete video offering. The visual has Abby T showing off her choreographed skills while basking in her natural glow of prowess with the wordplay; it’s one of the best releases we’ve come across so far in the new year, and excited to see what our viewership says about it.
A hundred on the dash got her speeding like NASCAR in what? A fast car. It’s a catchy hook and one that’s preparing you for a full throttle of vitality once she gets to spitting. Abby T’s bravado is why I enjoy this joint so much; she’s carefree with no worrying about the next person because she’s too occupied doing her. She’s far ahead of the competition, and even if you had the boost to catch up, you still couldn’t walk a mile in her shoes or, in this case, drive her speed. You are coming up short every time, Abby T doesn’t need to bask too much in the success, but it’s better if she does; you know she’s out of your league and off to the races where you can’t keep up with her. The delivery of her cadence is so unique; she’s far beyond blessed with poise and elegance throughout the release to have her switch up from the rapstress charisma to the melodic tuning in the chorus. I have to praise the creative direction for the video, the shots, the dancers & the scenery where Abby reflects on her time in the visual, which is keen on making her artistry shine bright in the release.
I’m excited to see what the future holds for this talented artist, she’s already got fans on this side, and we hope to see her get plenty more from around the globe.
