Lexy Panterra - Bad B***h (Single)
Lexy wasted no time after hitting us with her smash single “Simple Life” to remind us yet again that she is indeed, THAT BITCH with “Bad Bitch” ya bwih! That’s my little way of saying bitch by the way but anyway, this might be her hardest effort yet! From the knocking production that’ll topple over your little castle in the sky, if you take an issue with her having her head up in the clouds cause with her success, as well as consistency, she’s more than earned the right to come swinging in with this much gusto & bravado in her braggadocio, to all three of those elements ever so present in her direct lyrics, it’s another anthem that’ll have the biddies coming out of the woodworks to continue dominating the rap game, as they have been for the past several years, whether you wanna admit it or not.
Although we’ve heard plenty of records in this nature, it’s really the skillset that I focus on & she definitely is no slouch when it comes to the bars & wordplay, even the syllable play as well as the internal rhyme schemes in those opening bars. I don’t feel like acknowledge these things enough, regardless of how simplistic the lyrics may be, the technical aspects are still there. The annunciation with “getting money” almost sounds like “gitting money” which then rhymes with “different country” to end with “nighttime”, then the same with the next bar, it’s rather impressive. Also the fact that she switches up the flow a few times within the verse, I’m just a nerd for that kind of shit & you know how people always say to keep it humble? Fuck all that, pop your shit as much as you please. If you got any problem with that, it’s probably cause you’re the throat baby.
The visuals showcase all the bad bitches congregating to hopefully irk the jealous bitches who were denied access, as well as the salty men who only talk shit cause they know they could never hit. Although she’s been killing it for a few years now, I of course had to go back after last single to do my research, I’d say she’s only scratched the surface of what she’s capable of & with records like this, she’s surely to become a more familiar name & face you’ll see continue to infect the masses throughout the year. This is light work for her.
