Jonny Jukebox - U > Everything Else (Album)

If I didn’t know any better, I’d assume this was KYLE, I kid of course but definitely would love to hear the two on a record after what Jukebox managed to do on this album. The intro alone is as powerful as this game of love we all play in our lives. The voicemails in the beginning find him being pushed to choose him over everything else, it doesn’t hurt to be a little selfish at times. A lot of people do a lot of good talking but can’t say it with their chest & really stand on what they’re expressing, let alone come forward with the follow through on their promises for change. She however, brings out a certain “DIALECT” in him & one that’ll make her swoon but it’s quite the opposite, she’s the one who has him falling head over heels over her speaking his love language.

He calls on The Teeta to put on their “TROLL PATROL” uniforms to place their opps under arrest. They got no time or patience to deal with folks so caught up in their own insecurities that they clout stalk, thus making it impossible to love themselves, let alone be themselves in order to “POP” but the only thing they popping is their own balloons while these two continue popping their shit instead. He never allows himself to get “2COMFORTABLE” with a situation cause complaceny will only have him feeling stagnant so it’s always onto the next, bigger & better thing. He’s not gonna waste his diamond tears on those who don’t deserve it. He’s not the old him anymore, as much as some people may want him to be, he’s now bound to his newfound self love.

The fact that he uses “TETRIS” as a metaphor for someone trying to break him down is brilliant cause I’ve personally never heard it used before & obviously it ties into the gamer theme throughout this album & Magna Carda delivers one of the standout guest spots on this one! “EUPHORIA” hopes that people learn to let go of those toxic relationships that, they may be addicted to but know in their hearts, ultimately no longer serve them. He’s too much of a “PRETTI BOI” to deal with such nonsense but unfortunately, those with glass hearts of gold like his are the perfect target for these kinds of people though he’d never again allows them to get the upper hand on him. Whether her love is “BETTERTHANDRUGS” on the KNDRXX assisted cut, acknowledging that they’re just a bunch of “NOBODIES” who’ve caught no bodies, building an “ARK” for them to sail away gracefully, one thing is for certain, this may be the best video game themed album you’ll hear all year. Self love has never sounded nor felt more earnest than this opus.
