Le$ - 3 Series (Album)

Very few artists have maintained the same quality consistency Le$ has & for over a decade at this point in his career & to further add to that, this album proves he’s been on a roll these past 2 albums, now going on 3 with the fittingly titled “3 Series”. If you’re looking for that cruise control lyricism & musicality, Le$ is who you best be listening to. On the album’s introduction “325i”, we open with that signature, smooth production by Tavaras Jordan, so spiritually elevating as he waxes his testimonial over it ever so delicately. He takes this time to get a bit introspective, mainly reflective as he remains self aware of who he is, confessing his own pitfalls but ultimately having the confidence to rise above all the adversity life has to offer in order to receive the blessings that lie on the other side of his fears.

Many have tried & all have failed whenever they attempted to knock his hustle, it’s a seemingly impossible task & he can’t seem to grasp why anyone would ever think to do so. The thing about Le$ is that, every single bar of his, to some extent, contains some of the best game you could ever receive. He tells it like it is & you gotta respect it. He lets down the detractors ever so delicately on this number, respectfully advising them to know their role cause you really wouldn’t want him to be the putting your in your place. In spite of the “Highs x Lows” this game of life subjects all of us to, he remains calm & patient with himself as he muddled his way through all the fluctuations of life. Rather than stress, especially over things that are out of his control, he encourages those watching him to follow suit on this peaceful cut. Le$ remains the most opaque lyricist of our time on “5% Tint”, you just can never really see him coming & even if you do, you still can’t be entirely sure it’s even him, he ain’t see through like most of these other cats be, nor will he ever be.

The free jewelry continues to be given out ever so freely as he hopes that these people will eventually “Come Around” to following in his footsteps & learning how to just keep it player at all times, especially in a climate that would much rather celebrate the fake as opposed to the real. He’s willingly put these young cats “On Game” but it’s up to them to heed the advice he’s giving. The “Act of letting go” is a tough concept to grasp for some, ironically so & obviously there ain’t much to grasp with it, he can’t allow himself to desperately hold onto to situations & people that are no longer serving him for the greater good & wouldn’t wanna see anybody else falling victim to holding on, again, ironically so. He speaks “From the Heart” whenever he’s spilling his wisdom & no, it’s never been a “Phase” with him, it’s just simply who he is & if you ever “Wanna Know” who he is, all you gotta do is listen to what his pen is trying to tell you. Another beautiful release to Le$ ever growing, timeless catalog.
