JELEEL! - CLUBHOUSE!/UNCIVILIZED! (Single)

After seeing his acrobatic set at this year’s SXSW Rolling Loud showcase, we instantly became fans of JELEEL!’s music by way of his high energy in the crowd and his performance technique that has made him a must-see attraction. I became fascinated with his fan-favorite single, “DIVE IN,” which is my go-to single to get hype to where I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to feature his music on the site. We’ll luckily; our prayers were answered since recently, JELEEL! dropped a two-pack project including a visual to go along with his Mike Dimes-featured hit titled “CLUBHOUSE.” The cover art has JELEEL! free-flowing through the air going over what looks like to be the house in his visual which has him looking larger than life. If everything we said before had you feeling the intensity to check out his music, then these two records will keep you becoming a fan of JELEEL in no time.

“One big room full of bad b***hes, I’ma call that clubhouse, Nah, Nah I’ma call that Run’s House.”

JELEEL starts the record “CLUBHOUSE!” with a comical intro that shifts into this witty rampage of raps that slowly softens when he gets to the chorus. Hometown hero Mike Dimes follows the lead in bringing his own style to the record, making it the more thrashing summer release that will surely set the hottest season of the year off. JELEEL is the life of the party, and you can hear it immersive fashion, especially seeing his down-to-earth charisma reflected in the visual. He enjoys being himself without having to fake his personality. He is carried well throughout the viewing, but as I mentioned before, there’s a jolt of JELEEL’s high-octane demeanor in his music that’s always heard, and you can see what I mean in his second single titled “UNCIVILIZED!.” His emotions bleed through the speakers, which is what I love about his art, you might think of it as angry content, but it’s much more than that. JELEEL finds comfort in expressing his feelings this way, and I respect it since the sound is enormous where you can hear it from miles away. It’s beautiful substance mixed with JELEEL’s sense of gumption, and I think these records show you the different sides of JELEEL while also introducing him to new listeners in the process.

JELEEL has mentioned on social media that he’s gearing up to go on tour, and he’s been hitting up some dates out in NY, which I’m hoping later leads him back down south to perform here in Texas again. We can hope right now, but in the meantime, we highly recommend you get to listening to his two latest singles out while sharing them around on all social media platforms.
