Lakewude - BBL (Single)

Yesterday afternoon our favorite songstress, Bairi, had retweeted a newly released video from Atlanta artist Lakewude titled “BBL.” The audio for the record dropped back in March with exceeding praise from familiar listeners & it’s good to see the single get the visual treatment while getting more people like ourselves introduced to his sound in the process. The directorial eye for the video is coming from Lakewude as well. Angel C. provides assistance with being behind the lens to urge viewers to take in each verse and be blessed accordingly in witnessing greatness come alive.

The black & white scenery for the video is built up very nicely by the production; its soulful aroma tugs gracefully to the ears in the record, helping transition this spontaneous moment when Lakewud starts spitting. It’s dashing with a hint of intensity; Lakewude’s metaphors are prestigious from start to finish with the way he keeps on letting the lyrical ammunition start flying at the head tops. Speaking on the assets of the many women who try to change their bodies instead of being all-natural, he dives in with tales of his promiscuous moment with women in an intimate fashion. It’s a clever wordplay with a vast amount of style in the way he sizes up his rhymes with the video’s layout. Ain’t no lacking in his pen game, he spilling truth all on this record, and it’s easy to see why he was recommended by the goddess Bairi who knows talent when she sees it. The track fits so heavenly on rotation when it’s played in the whip, while the video does it justice being the viewing relaxation of one’s experience. I’m intrigued by this release from Lakewud and know there is more to be seen from him in the near future.

I had some time to check out prior art from him. It showed that he’s been making a name for himself for a while, succeeding in much praise and support from fans, and I’m glad to be another outlet, primarily from Texas, to help introduce many more people to his amazing craft.
