Shann - Same Page (Single)

Shoutout to DevyStonez, who earlier in the week retweeted a link to Virginia songstress Shann’s latest single, “Same Page,” which the cover art interested me to give this joint a listen to where instantly it struck my soul. The angelic vocals of Shann serenaded a tale in this ballad that fascinated me where it became a track that’s currently sitting in my rotation for the last few hours. It’s strong with an essence of R&B medley throughout that comes in nicely with the growing effectiveness of Shann’s tone to help warm your heart during this listening experience. 

The dream weaving of the production is an excellent way to start the record, and from there it’s Shann who keeps you on cloud nine to hear her sing a tune about working on her current relationship, trying to see eye to eye with her companion. They both have goals of what they want out of this relationship & where they want to see it, so being on the same page is essential in their quest. She could say sorry and follow along with his plans, but it takes away from her happiness, and she’s not willing to bend for that anymore. You can her presence in the record go from soft-spoken to a little more firm, which could be her emotional reaction to putting real-life scenarios in her music. She’s probably been in this situation before and can see the dire consequences of not being on the same page, but this one seems worse and could lead to heartache or possibly a breakup. If only he could look in the mirror and see it’s no longer just himself in the picture but someone who wants to be there with him and cherish the good things. The record is keyed in with grace on how well Shann can blossom in this single and see a wonderment feeling to express feeling so vividly here, which has us engulfed in her aura where we need more art like this soon.

I see Shann has had some releases in the past that are just as gifted as this one here, so who knows what more is in store for the future.
