Just the way Banco carries himself, you feel his presence no matter what, he could be sitting back, getting done up by his barber & still look cooler than most without all the extra shit. I mean c’mon, when the barber lifts his seat up as soon as the beat kicks in & he starts popping his shit, that’s just genius editing right there, perfectly timed. Got the praying hands necklace whilst wearing the praying hands tee, emphasizing just how blessed he is in this juncture in his life & career & he would sip the hater’s tears from the outside looking in but the Cliquot tastes much better, he wouldn’t dare waste a good Sonic cup on these fools.
Banco has been there, done that, he’s seen enough in this game to be able to separate himself from everyone else. While most people are concerned with all the byproducts of this rap shit, Banco is more concerned with staying true to who he is at his core, never compromising his morals to fit in & still he attains all the glitz & glam this lifestyle has to offer, though he doesn’t allow himself to get lost within it all like everybody else. Sure, your favorite bitch got him in her captions but that doesn’t mean he’s giving her the time of day, it’s just funny poking fun at the fact they have to try extra hard to be something they’re not just to attract a woman of her status & he doesn’t. This thing is bigger than him. Of course he’s doing for himself, you gotta but he’s aiming to spread that wealth back to the people who helped him along the way & how commendable is that? Most people are too selfish to share their success.
Don’t get it twisted though, he hasn’t let his newfound notoriety get to his head, he still does a lot of the things he normally does, he’s still that same kid striving to make a name for himself, that famine remains. He’s truly come from nothing cause he doesn’t forget where he’s come from & although it’s Saved By The Bank, even if he were to lose it all today, he’s confident that his people will be there to catch him & help him gain it all back. It’s just the hustler in him that won’t ever let up. It’s something about the way he brags about his luxuries that doesn’t really come off conceitedly, it comes off as more grateful than anything that he’s able to live this way purely off his authenticity as a person. And I love how he mentions he’s not here to sprint, too many people are in a rush to chase their dreams & that’s what words like chase indicate but he’s a little too meticulously calculated to expect this to happen overnight.
