Swanny Ivy - R U Okay? (Single)

After a brief resurgence while working on his upcoming album “Endorphin,” Swanny Ivy had previewed a visual at the beginning of the month of a new forthcoming single from him titled “R U Okay.” It’s the first preview that we get from his imminent project and one that would keep us at bay to await the finished product. Not long after the teaser, the video surfaced, with many praising the art concept of the release while others mentioning the production by GAWF & the cinematic refinery of DavieeDavee behind the lens was an incredible pivot to the continuous growth of Swanny’s artistry. 

Shawty, are you okay? Swanny asks respectfully to the apple of his eye for the evening, wanting to know if she’s okay to ride out with him for the night. She sees a side of him that she’s loving, and he’s hoping this is what makes her stay. It’s too early to call it quits; the night is still young, yet before things get too serious, he asks if she’s okay to fulfill the rest of their night in a thrill. The feverous chorus is played to an extent where even after the record finishes, you can’t help yourself to continue singing it. I felt like this ballad was a tug of war to Swanny’s old self fighting with his new awakening; it will be a powerful sentiment, I’m sure when we hear the entire album. Swanny is welcomed back in remarkable fashion on the release. While this is just the first taste of his stress-relieving project, you can undoubtedly see that Swanny is feeling invincible right now & his music speaks in volume of his expected approach in music. 

Swanny Ivy never disappoints, and his catalog is enough examples of that description. I’m very hype to hear his upcoming album, this record made waves on this end (no pun intended), and I’m sure there is more to his story to listen in to be amazed.
