Bankreaux - Music 4 Her (EP)
I’m gonna be honest, I’ve always heard & seen the name Bankreaux but I’ve never taken the time to sit with his music til this EP hit my radar so this is technically my 1st time really doing so & what an introduction but forgive me for sleeping on this impeccable artist for so long, I won’t bore with excuses but we here now. On “Music 4 Her”, Bank offers some of the most heartfelt music to come out of this month of love. His vulnerability when it comes to the love he has for his partner is beautiful & not just cause he can make a damn good song about it either. It’s truly amazing what a good woman by your side can do for a man, especially if that man was already good before you met him. You just know that they both give each other world as he makes evident on the opener “Play Bout Me”. Immediately opening with a hit & one that has quickly become my favorite song at the moment.
On “Lynae’s Love Song”, his hope for the future of their relationship ensures that it’s bright enough to blind the both of them as they venture into the further of it. If they’ve made it this far, weathering all kinds of storms then he’s certain they can make it through anything else that may present itself as a roadblock. He’s bout her that rough. This record sounds like the thermostat is being lowered as they fall deeper & deeper in love like sinking into a bed of rose petals. It’s evident that the bond between these two is one that’s gonna take hella effort to break. Not only does it sound like love but it sounds like they both really understand & trust each other, which I think is bigger than just love. He knows that she really loves him cause she actually shows it & he’s quick to let her know how much he appreciates her efforts by giving her the world.
Love calls for celebration & it takes two to tango as they groove throughout the saturnalia that is “Girls Dem Suga”. There’s plenty of girls around that look so sweet but she’s the only one in the vicinity that is pure sugar cane & he’s eager to shimmy his way on over to break off a piece for himself, if not the whole thing. On the “Rest Of Me”, he declares her as all he truly needs & wants. This is more than just puppy love, he wants to grow old with this woman & I’m sure she wants the same. You can tell he’s been yearning for the day where he can finally settle down with the right one & it seems that day is getting here sooner than he or she may have expected cause why wait right? “Music 4 Her” was a beautiful way for me to start my Bankreaux journey & surely only the start for what else is to come out this beautiful soul this fine, fine year.
