A$$phat & Quentin Heartz - Jugged U (Video)
The intro track off A$$phat & Quentin Heartz EP “Phatheartz >_<“ got the visual treatment recently as they linked with BXR Films to turn their Surf Mesa sample record “Jugged U” into a black & white fantasy that will leave your girl soaking wet from all the tears she’s cried having to stay with you instead of one of these heartthrobs. Being one of the standout joints from their August project to now seeing it come to life months later is a treat for fans, especially newer ones who’ve since seen them appear back-to-back with performances and would love to enjoy more of their content, whether it be plays or views.
The video opens up with Quentin at the bus stop using the classic iPod nano and playing the track before entering into the record in a noir setting that brings out their creativity in paramount fashion. The track starts with A$$phat remembering the times when he was down bad, and the ladies weren’t feeling him, but now that the paper is beginning to stack and his team is up, the same ones dissing him are now the same hoes in the parking lot bopping. Quentin Heartz plays suit to the raps but then ends it with the romancing vocals; he talks about his adolescent years with his imagination running wild to now thinking about the dead presidents with a special shawty on his mind. He’s not the one to be attached to, but he’s starting to crave her a bit more, almost fiendish. Back and forth, they go with the verses while adding the intensity direction of the visual to versatile heights always goes to show their mindstate of being outside the box still has them flourishing with artistry and becoming the next best thing to pay attention to in the city.
I’ve always admired how both these artists go by and deliver such tranquil takes in their music that make their stardom shine brighter each time. I know more art is coming from the two, and we just can’t wait to see what it is. We highly recommend checking out this latest release from A$$phat & Quentin Heartz here while sharing it around on all social media avenues.
