It had been quiet for Ransom Watson regarding new music being released, which we knew he had to be planning something soon. He started teasing new concepts on his Instagram of an upcoming project in the works and would show behind-the-scenes footage with Loki Loveless, Just Sherm & DavieeDavee. Hence, we knew something significant was underway. Sure enough, it wasn’t long for us to see his latest brewing which was an upcoming visual titled “Running With Scissors,” that was looking and sounding promising from just the teaser he dropped. Along with the clip, he shared a release date for the video, and not long after, the video surfaced with plenty of viewers gravitating to the release and welcoming back Ransom in the creative spotlight.
This has to be one of the best videos we’ve come across lately; so much tumultuous direction and is full of iconic moments especially showcasing the creativity of everyone who had a hand in helping bring it to life. Laced with the chaotic nature of Ransom's signature vocals, the viewing has him running rapidly through his hotel room, fearing that someone is out to get him, more than likely paranoia. Other scenes have him sitting at a desk writing “RUN” with multiple scissors in his surroundings, contemplating to run full speed with them in hand, which is always a bad sign, but it’s the only way he believes he can let go of his demons. It’s one of the finest videos to come from Ransom’s catalog, and adding in the cinematic direction by none other than DavieeDavee, who catapulted this release along with Loki Loveless to give us something special. Ransom is never dull when it comes to artistry; he shines bright when being outside the box, and as you can see, he delivers something sensational to the mix that will have you thrashing from start to finish.
