Kree23 & Thirty-Siiixth feat AVN Fantazzzi - Sad Girl (Single)

Love when an already elite lyricist shows us what else they are capable of. Many of you may know Kree by her undeniable skills as an MC but this isn’t the 1st time she’s shown listeners how great a songwriter she is, peep her & Thirty’s previous collab from this year, “Save Yourself”, to which Thirty wrote & produced & Kree sung her lungs out bringing that one to life. On “Sad Girl” however, she really takes things to the indie alternative route, with a somber number for all the ladies who may be feeling a bit abysmal emotionally, these three got you covered.

“Sad Girl” may be the darkest, most poignant number Kree has given us thus far. She’s upset with this person because they no longer care to put up with her but she’s self aware enough to know that she’s the one who drove them away, now she’s broken down, confused as to what she’s left to do next in order to move forward. She’d much rather just be gone from existence than to have to suffer the unbearable pain of watching this soul dissipate before her very eyes. Even her vocal tone throughout this, you can hear the pain in the texture as she grapples with the fact that they’re most likely never coming back.

That guitar just adds so much more to the ominous tones of this record. Thirty is sounding like an angel weeping with her softly angelic vocals, they just sound so in sync with Kree’s more mellow tonality. If anything, this song is about self acceptance. She’s stuck in her own dismal patterns & staying within them would be a lot less painful, for it’s all she’s ever been familiar with. She knows she only has herself to blame for that, though the want for change is clearly felt throughout her plea for help here. Hopefully this isn’t the last we hear of these two together cause it’s a whole other side to Kree I would personally love to hear more of her & Thirty-Siiixth, they bring out a healthy sense of poignancy in one another.
