DEVORA - Outlaw (EP)

Wait, you mean to tell me the Wild Wild West meets Contemporary Pop wrapped up in a dark packaging? I'm all here for it, completely ready to travel into this realm with DEVORA & she wastes no time galloping towards the trouble on "Fist Fight." She's not one to take kindly to any sort of naysaying, some may not like the outlaw themes, but she urges them to remember that this is who she is & what she's a product of. If they don't like it, that's on them; not even their fake God can shine light upon the situation. She's coming through to pillage your village with a vengeance & no matter the price of the bounty on her head, she's coming through swinging & taking what she feels is hers, rightfully so.

The place she's from doesn't play any games; toying with them will have you laying in a "Body Bag," possibly tied to the back of a vehicle & dragged along the hot sands of the desert. She's just that scathing with her brash attitude on this record; she wants all the smoke, the true definition of an "Outlaw." Rules are what she refuses to abide by cause, as common sense would tell us, you can't live your life to the fullest with all these restraints they put onto us, so she's breaking free & going on the run. They'll never catch up to her & if they ever do, they'll wound up catching all those bullets in what will be her final showdown.

It's a surprise she's "Not Dead Yet" after living the kind of life she has, seeing the things she was brought up seeing. Still, she wouldn't change it for the world; this is just who she is, so don't judge. She's doing things her way, without a care in the world; it's practically a ghost town where she's from, so imagine all that wide-open terrain she has to ride off into the sunset, that fast life of hers ain't coming to a halt anytime soon. All in all, these five songs showcase a very unique meshing of styles I can't say I've ever heard, and it's crushing music that'll have you feeling so much cooler than them dudes on Sons of Anarchy. I think it's safe to say she's much more ferocious than them; let's just hope we get more from the desperado in the near future.
