Stilo Jordan feat DiversiD - OTW (Single)
Stilo Jordan & DiversiD have been putting in so much work, together & separately, but at this point in their juncture, they basically go hand in hand. You can't mention one without the other; their chemistry is undeniable, from records like "Love and Other Drugs" & "Bet" off Stilo's debut album "We Didn't Plan This" or even the five monumental records on their joint EP "Growing Pains." The dynamic duo continues to capitalize off their chemistry with the slow-burning "OTW," & how lucky that girl must be waiting on the other end for them to come on by.
She is nothing more attractive than an independent woman who isn't concerned with others' views of her; she does whatever the hell she wants. Be it getting high as can be, sleeping with whoever she damn well pleases, getting sloppy drunk. She's a free spirit, a nomad if you will, cause she just can't stay put. She's always making moves; whatever makes her feel good, she's going to do it. She isn't any Instagram thottie just cause she's feeling herself & wants the world to know it, and I don't understand why we attach that term to women who are comfortable in their own skin; that isn't what these two are saying at all, they just encouraging her to continue doing her more than anything.
It's great to hear these records where the men aren't referring to women as thots or bitches; we hear that far too often. This record is on some empowerment shit; I wouldn't even lump it in with those other types of records. It's in a league of its own; the ladies for sure are going to eat this record up. It's a vibe in every sense of the word; what a lucky two Stilo & DiversiD are. Still, after a while, the overindulge can become too much if you aren't careful; you wound up surrounding yourself with people who got nothing going for them & can get so lost in that world. Unfortunately, that's the case for her, but she's too much of a queen not to bounce back from it gracefully, everything in moderation.
