Neaux ID - Same Ol’ Same Ol’ (Video)

Taken from last year's late December release of his four-track EP "While You Wait," he keeps listeners satiated with the visual treatment to the 3rd cut on this "hold us over until his debut album comes out" EP & everything is still the "Same Ol' Same Ol'." It can be rather disappointing to see that things haven't really changed much, whether that be what we see going on in the world. The saturation of the rap game or your life personally, I'm sure we've all hit a brick wall of stagnancy at some point in our lives, but Neaux ID will be damned if he's just going to remain quiet on the issues he's witnessing at hand.

The way this record just somberly creeps in immediately lets us know that we are in for some deep lyricism & real heady messages. His flow is too swift on here & already early in his verses; he's stating claims by separating himself from everything else surrounding him. He's proud to be black while others are simply proud to be wack; he's not afraid to make the formal statements out of fear that he'll lose something of material value. There's more to life to him than that, but that's not to say he doesn't want the finer things in life. He's just not willing to sacrifice who he is as a man to attain it like most, unfortunately, are.

He forgets nothing about where he came from; he's anything, but complacent & isn't waiting around for what he feels is owed to him. He just keeps his nose to the grindstone & his faith in God that the blessings will find their way to him in due time, not chasing a single thing. Instead, it's soon to be chasing him, and I admire a man of patience cause it can be challenging with a lot of the watered-down material just dampening the game into a soppy & soggy mess. The visuals here are as hypnotizing as his flow is natural. The psychedelic feels throughout with the glimmers from the city lights of the nightlife; I just hope we won't have to wait long for more impressive performances like this one, records like this make me just wanna go back to the drawing boards.
