Weasel Sims - Coke Raps Freestyle (Video)

A nomad of sorts, Weasel Sims, has been in many places, appearing like an ominous entity on his latest portentous number “Coke Raps Freestyle”. I imagine the paranoia this track induces upon listeners will remind them not to be getting high off their own supply, seemingly lying in their coke raps; most they’ve probably moved is a Cola can, but Weasel & D.jbari are here to let these wannabes know that. Even if imitation is the highest form of flattery, they’re not impressed. Instead of pressed by your lack of authenticity & front, you step forward to them, hoping they won’t shatter your thin veneer to reveal the charlatan they already saw you were before pulling back the layer.

Who knew that someone who once appeared on “Gangland” was such a vicious lyricist, not I? His syllable work & wordplay on this verse here is like snorting something then hitting the ground after hallucinating. That’s thousands of lines he no doubt is capable of inhaling through the nostrils the blowing it right back out into your face like when Michael Cera blows literal coke in Fogel’s face. You can’t handle the purity of which has been finely cut by him; these bricks are enough to build many foundations with, whereas your bricks are shattered cinderblocks.

This record is just one of the many dope cuts from his latest release, “Aim High,” which I highly recommend. I had personally been sleeping on him cause I had no idea who this artist was before hitting my radar but thank god it did cause; this isn’t like any high I’ve ever been on & the visuals treatment for his verse only adds a face to what’s coming out the horse’s mouth. He stands on his balcony, book in hand, robe & some coffee to deliver premium cut bars that’ll clear your morning sinuses right up, but he isn’t taking any whiffs of these bricks; he’s just keeping his nose to the grindstone to administer them for you to take in.
