Though a lot of love has been lost in his lifetime, many “Connections” have been made but, was there ever really love? He’s differentiating the two causes; maybe she connected with him based on one quality that doesn’t solely define who he is & once she does find out who he really is, that connection is severed. That link has been busted off of that chain forcibly cause the love wasn’t real to begin with. You only connected with him for who you thought he was & now he’s left searching for effigies of you but trying to cease him feeling any need to do so.

He’s well aware of the love he has to offer. Still, he’s not about to be wasting his time investing in somebody who isn’t reciprocating that or even subtly hinting that she does love him. Maybe she isn’t too gung ho about committing herself to another man due to traumas stemming from past relationships but still wants to give this a shot yet can’t find a way to bring herself even simply to say “I love you”. Though maybe she does, he’s going to need better proof that your efforts are real cause in his eyes; he’s making hella sacrifices only for your words & actions to dissipate your idea of love like smoke & mirrors.

It’s been two years since we last heard from Ejay Mallard, so to come back this strong is a warm welcome back, he has boundaries that are not to be overstepped & he won’t tolerate a toe over the barrier. You’ve left him with no choice but to keep putting up walls until there’s too many to tear down. It’d take more lifetimes than one can comprehend. However, he wished it didn’t have to come to this; maybe it’s not even you. It’s something he’s dealing with internally, something that probably stems from past relationships as well; he’s clearly been back & forth with these patterns before, so there’s undoubtedly a sense of affinity there. Still, it’s too frustrating to establish a foundation with this person, only a mere connection & the sheer thought of that is just unbearable for him.
