AwkwardLowlife - Hot Box (Interlude) (Video)
Still capitalizing off his magnum opus, his baby if you will, with "Wrong Life," everyone's favorite AwkwardLowlife is back with another visual for a fan-favorite record. The brief blast of alternative power pop energy suffocates the listeners like pot smoke clouding up the gas mask on "Hot Box (Interlude)." It's great to see artists like him revive that era of Pop Punk greatness; it's reminiscent of bands like Sum 41 & Blink-182 without sounding like a total knock-off cause they mesh Hip Hop undertones with that style-making for a new sub-genre that's so refreshing to hear.
The fact that this song is so short makes it all the more extraordinary; you can keep this on loop for hours & find yourself singing it on multiple occasions. It's that infectious what Awk Low & J Allan concocted with this one; I knew it was a hit when I first heard it. Hence, it's beautiful to see it continue to get the love & the push it so deserves with its own visual to see Awk happy as can because I know he's come from a dark place that not many make it out of; at least he can't see for a different reason now, it's only fog though.
I'm glad to see Awkward continue to bask in his emergence onto the scene. He's been putting in work for a long time, musically & on himself simultaneously & it's resulted in his masterpiece that we're likely to continue to see visual treatments. He just recently announced another one soon to come for "Lights," so I advise you to try your best to make it to that shoot. I'm sure no cops will be present when y'all are hotboxing in the getaway vehicle. My man AwkwardLowlife is forever on a roll, full speed ahead towards a much more even path now that he's headed towards the "Right Life."
