Frito Gang - Threesome (EP)
What a time to be alive; this is the next best thing to your girl, surprising you with an actual "Threesome." Three sensual heaters from your favorite gospel group, Frito Gang, in which they let all the chips fall wherever they may gracefully will with this 3 in 1 that they've gifted us. Not only do we get the full, near 12 minute EP, but we also get a triple feature mini-film that adds that much more to the songs themselves & just maybe the gang's best visuals to date. They've always had some rather unique ones in the past, but just like the music, that too is steadily on an incline & no wonder it's so good PSDNYM is in the director's seat; that's like 3 threesomes if you think about it. I'm not sure many will be able to handle this heat, lots of sundresses undressing coupled with records that feel like an afterglow after the sunset sets in, which is a great feeling to experience.
Do you wish to "Fall In Love" with any member of FRITOGANG, well nows your chance by calling the FG Hotline today but don't come on the line trying to "Start a Problem." "Can't You" just stop playing these games; time is too precious to waste. They take all these themes and sequence them into some very entertaining scenarios in these visuals for each, meshed into one fantastic video. It starts with "Fall In Love," the gang is just doing the usual, a photoshoot to capture all the undeniable swagger & charisma they carry. Adrilla is just making the ladies swoon with his whispering of sweet nothings into their ears. Then, Ton comes sliding through to belt out those desires with such enthusiasm, ensuring that the bedroom temperatures will indeed be rising once the photoshoot is over.
We then follow Kue as he's leaving the set to answer a phone call from a girl he's clearly down with, but all she's doing is giving him a hard time & he just doesn't get any more time left to be spared towards unnecessary hardships. Petty little arguments he cares nothing for & this is further exemplified in the most satirical way possible; it's pure hilarity to see how much these fellas are unphased by these games. Niko2K makes note of the patterns they just keep repeating, but in the end, they're just as petty. So then we catch back up with the ladies, playing records, just chopping it up, reading magazines but little do they know, the guys are in these magazines, recreating covers & whatnot. It's marvelous editing all the way from Malcolm to Levi & Dubb; it's just beautiful to see these guys continue to elevate in life, period, let alone the music. These gentlemen are clearly thriving & will continue to do so for years to come; they haven't even hit their peak yet, though they've done so much leading up to this point, even got some homages to previous works in these visuals & all I know is that it can only go up from here!
