reggie - Ain’t Gon Stop Me (Single)

We enjoy getting new music, and it could be as simple as a post to catch our attention, and yesterday, when Big Tex Johnny mentioned Houston emcee Reggie as the coldest out of Texas with his most recent single titled "Ain't Gon Stop Me." Well, we had to see for ourselves if this was true. It didn't take long for us to agree with his ample statement since the Screwston native securely placed his harmonizing raps over this Monte Booker & Kenny Beats-produced record with such powerful ease. It's a feeling of seizing the day to be the most incredible feeling in the world and having it ring the champion sound over the blues.

The pain won't stop him, and neither will the rain; Reggie knows that God could if you wanted to, but he won't because he's the one who brought him. He delivers an onslaught of wordplays and metaphors to showcase his trials and tribulations that he's experienced so far in his life, which has damn near lost him. If you've gone through what he has, then you might not be here to tell the tale, but he is, and he's speaking on a higher power of gratitude that's he's made it through hell and back. Channeling a storyboard of history through his vigorous rhymes is simply giving us an introduction of him as an artist and a person at the same time. Not too many artists can provide us with that level of content anymore since many don't wear their hearts on their sleeve and can do it with such a calming essence over the production, especially as monumental as this. Obstacles are a thing of the past for Reggie as his path will only go forward, and music like this is preached to the masses of people to hear his roar as a sign of relief that anything is possible.
