TM Floyd - Light Blue (Single)
TM Floyd got woes with the women on “Light Blue,” it’s usually the man playing the games, but that’s not the case. It goes both ways as he’s detailing how confusing she’s being with him. He seems to want her love, but she only wants sex & though the sex is phenomenal, he’s feeling a much deeper affinity for the other things she also brings to the table. The sex doesn’t seem to be enough for him.
She doesn’t want him to fuck with any other girls besides her yet, isn’t straightforward about precisely what it is she wants, leaving him to his own assumptions about what the relationship actually entails. Channeling his inner Keith Sweat for a more modernist twist on being “Twisted,” he’s tired of going through all the turns & whirls, tired of running in circles while she is running circles around him.
The visuals add even more to this, giving you a short film of sorts, based on actual events that have transpired in his real-life & who knows if he’s still seeing this same girl. Still, he damn sure ain’t putting up with her little mind games, you either want all of me or you get none of me is the mindset though something tells me he’ll find his way back to her, she’s too good at getting him in his feels, he’d instead feel all that confusion than nothing at all.
