K.A.A.N - Sunset Crest Dr. (Album)

Yesterday evening I saw this video by Maryland native K.A.A.N (Knowledge Above All Nonsense) titled “Quieroz” being passed around social media with people praising the record's lyricism. Now I was unfamiliar with him, which didn’t last long. Once I got to view the visual, I was impressed beyond disbelief and started doing my homework on his content immediately. I saw that he actually just dropped an album at the beginning of September titled “Sunset Crest Dr,” where this record was the intro track of the project, which helped me to write a review for the album rather than the video.

Drummed up with notorious rage for lyrical warfare, K.A.A.N came baring out revolutionary tales with combative rhymes scheme that are lethal to the weak-hearted. He engages a series of raps that are viciously staggered with the way he combines the ruthless aggression to his wordplays. With “Every Little Step,” he’s continuing to “Hustle” his way into barring out his heart and soul in music, in which he hears his calling in records like “Correa” & “Not For Me.” He’s tactical with how he wants to showcase his art of street telling in wild ways that will have you coming back for more when adding these records to your rotation. The production throughout plays a massive part in adding to his boastful attitude of wanting to seize the moment in sharing out his emotional resurgence of being one of the best out here doing it. An impressive reflection of an artist who can be versatile while hitting you a godly barrage of raps that will scare a weak rapper into hiding, it’s not safe for you, fragile artist. In contrast, an artist like K.A.A.N comes lurking on the scene looking to feast with a fork in one hand and a mic in the other.
