Southside Hoodlum - Southside Story (Video)

After just receiving his “Lost Files” project a couple of weeks ago, Southside Hoodlum surprised his listeners with a new visual two-in-one video titled “Southside Story. Like his previous hits, Big Tex Johnny is on the production for this record, with Ace The Shooter behind the lens to bring alive the Southside tale of Hoodlum’s upbringing and dedication to street life. 

The first setting has him turning his block to a studio session; he’s got the block hot with the mic on the gravel, speaking about how grand his life has been. Keeping low from twelve while sipping codeine in a double cup, Hoodlum is basking in a light of pure bliss in his hood. The beat helps Hoodlum walk through with ease while supplying the dope raps that would make a cartel jealous. He’s inching closer to building an aesthetic feel to the track that sounds like the summertime weather on the west coast, but he’s here in San Antonio, representing it to the fullest. The second setup is more of what we’ve come to expect from Hoodlum; this time around, the mic is placed in the trap while a woman on the side twerks in his presence. He shows some of his previous performances and a more wicked flow from the last joint. The video showcases how versatile his artistry is, from being placed in a balance of positivity to creating chaos in a different setting but being Southside Hoodlum at the end of it all. 

No telling yet where these tracks could end up at, possibly on his & Big Tex Johnny’s follow up to “Lord Knows” that’s been mentioned to drop either at the end of the year or the beginning of the new year.
