Langston Hunter feat CA the Don & Uncle Tino - Chrono (Single)
At the end of September, YATUWITHLOVE emcee Langston Hunter released his solo single, “Chrono,” which features artists CA the Don & Uncle Tino. I was not familiar with the features at the start of the track, but after hearing the record, I can tell you I’m a fan of theirs now. The video for the single was also dropped on the same day, so listeners have had the best of both worlds to enjoy the latest release.
The trio engages heavily with witty raps and boastful bars that remind me of Pac Div, which I still hail them high on my end even after all these years, so having leaders of the new school with similar styles makes me hopeful for the future of hip-hop. Langston Hunter doesn’t let the beat build for long; right out the gate, he’s applying pressure with ease. Addressing all the naysayers while speaking on the good times he’s living now motivates him to be in the position he’s in now. He doesn't need to see the price tags anymore; if he wants it, then he gets it. Globe is about to erupt, so brace yourself when it happens; Langston is the greatest, and the evidence is in the pudding, so go ahead and taste it. No handouts or handshakes are necessary, CA is speaking wildly in his flow with confessing his love for your girl right in front of your face. Get them hands up if you got problems with it; he can solve them while he’s on to the next one with a girl who’s leaving sad face emojis, and he’s not answering back. Uncle Tino is anchoring the track with suave; he’s putting natural aggression behind his lines while knowing he can’t be savage too much cause he’s just too polite. The video is pristine and clean to the touch since Langston Hunter always brings his creativity out, and you get another shining example of that here.
The track is roughly about a minute and few seconds long that still makes a worthy effort in making this better than most artists’ full-length projects. That’s how much I truly enjoyed this joint and know that many others will too. We highly recommend you check both the record and visual here while sharing it around on all social media platforms.
