MVE (Monk Vision Entertainment) - Pop Stars (Single)

It looks like I gotta tap into my inner Buddhist cause MVE is back baby & this time, they're apparently "Pop Stars," but this ain't no Pop Music. They just own that title cause it's what they are & deservingly so cause they've put in mad work, easily becoming one of the more excitingly creative & witty groups to hit the scene since an Odd Future. Still, that's no comparison cause they have a style that's all their own & the beat alone screams that, like a recorder, some sort of flute & it just adds to the fun of the record.

These stupid ass rappers do be thinking they Kanye & even be telling on themselves like Vlad, hilarious little jabs but this brotherhood just keeps elevating. Huddled together on the cover art to show that this is forever a team effort, they had a game plan with this one & executed it like they're known to do & what's exciting about them is that they just always seem to be having fun with it. Each of these MC's just feeding off each other's vibes, neither one outshining the other cause that's just not what's it about, it's a reason why so many groups fail, but I can't see that happening anytime soon with these fellas.

And these visuals, forget it, it just adds even more fun to the record, be it the delivery man dropping off a package that turns out to be a whole ass woman. The other member is basking in the sun in a robe, chalice & a face mask surrounding by women whose skin is glowing in the beams. He's looking fresher than those cucumbers on his eyes, even a brief little DaBaby homage, which I can definitely hear them working with in the near future. That would be insane, the warehouse the video ends in & the boxes exemplifying the six different hits, though clearly more, that they have sitting in their archive. Jerry Morka did his thing & we can only hope for even more greatness to come from the collective; till then, they are popping caps in shooting stars!
