TEDDYTHELEGACY - Seven (Album)

Austin's own TEDDYTHELEGACY had a banner year in 2020, topping off his consistent releases with one final offering to cap off another excellent year for the barrier-breaking artist with the poignantly atmospheric "Seven." Immediately sounding like he's close to walking off the edge of the earth, ready to float away from the planet. The pain in his voice & introspective reflects as he meditates on the hardships he's faced getting to this current position he's in. Which if you start your record off like this, you know you're in for a self-defining masterpiece, one every artist should have.

Teddy has bigger aspirations that are far beyond him, letting the succubuses of his past drain him of all his blood on "Anemic." He's here to "Let It Blow," blow as in blow out the speakers, blow as in how dope this number is about to be & is, blow as in blowing all this money cause it's just going to keep coming in at the rate that he's going. Blow as in blowing him if you don't like what you're seeing, and it's not like Teddy is getting in the way of you following a similar business model. Still, he may be "Way Too Real" to be duplicated; experience & wisdom in his life as such can't be replicated. You would most likely fold if you had to experience any of what he has been forced to undergo.

Whether expressing his annoyance with those who've switched up on him since he's gotten himself to a much better place than he once was on the Metallic Forest assisted "Pink Flamingo" & then capitalizing on that newfound stature of his on "The Reign." Featuring a brotherly back & forth with Cedd BO$$, him imagining a future with a certain someone on "Tyler's Interlude," as practical as it may be, he's only asking for your patience. At the same time, he carves out this future he wants for all parties involved, more reflection on the sequel to "Current State Of Mind," but dwelling on what was is too "Risky." He's just moving onto the "Next Scene," leaving behind a gorgeously crafted opus to a repugnantly overwhelming year. Still, it can only remain on the inclination from here, pandemic or no, he's getting called to the Heavens & trusting the process, no matter how slow it can get at times.
