Ryshon Jones - Eat The Roses (Single)
On his second single this year, Ryshon Jones keeps his lessons afloat on the minimalist jazziness of “Eat The Roses.” It almost feels like the curtains are closing & he’s stuck there with only the roses thrown at his feet once everyone in attendance has gone.
Ryshon will leave you in deep thought as he weaves through these instruments, pointing out his many mistakes but making sure you know his intentions are pure. It’s just a process & one he is very dedicated to; it doesn’t make it any less hard to be better every day.
It’s a bit of a depressingly introverted number as if the beautifully poignant cover art didn’t already indicate that you’d be diving into a record as such. He’s just struggling to find meaning in this life; after all, it can all end like that, for no reason, “It’ll Be Gone In The Morning.” Be it our existence or these feelings of self-doubt, so if we learn anything from Ryshon, it’s to try to make the best out of this life cause it doesn’t get any better, we do, hopefully.
