There is nothing I appreciate more than an artist who isn’t afraid to let you into their world, into their psyches, an artist who isn’t scared to bare those emotions that tend to cloud our minds. Stilo Jordan’s latest lies somewhere between wind & water, in other words, it’s a vulnerable triumph of a record.

“Time” is a beautiful one long verse opener to this project where Stilo realizes time is on his side & he’ll keep putting in the time to reach his goals for time is all we have. Not much of it to achieve said goals at that & following that is a reminder that these goals will be obtained for all to see, “Tell’em Again.” “You Say” & “Love and Other Drugs” are soothing odes to male sensitivity & female empowerment, a lot of men seem to have trouble acknowledging the women in their lives but Stilo is here to put you on a pedestal with a record that’ll surely make the queens feel loved & appreciated as they deserve to be.

Of course, he gotta give the people the vibes with the trap jumpy “Bet” or the late-night atmospheres on the reflective “Love and Other Losses,” there’s plenty of raw emotion to enjoy on this anguish filled record that’ll surely inspire, it’s the sound of the universe working in his favor.
