Ericthechosen - Time Will Tell (EP)

Ericthechosen takes a much more unconventional approach to how he delivers his rhymes; it flows great with his choice of production by Steelo Foreign & AG Keyz, but he's more conversational with his anecdotal truths. It's like he's talking directly at you. It just so happens to rhyme, but don't let that discourage; he is rapping his ass off but not for the sake of just rhyming; there are lessons behind these lyrics.

There's "No Other Way" for him to do for his people, this was his calling & he's sticking to it. I love that he shuts down that whole saying that his people can either rap or go to the league cause judging from the cover, he could do both if he wanted to & then some. The basketball spinning on his middle finger is a clear fuck you to anybody that doubts Eric can't do anything he sets his mind to & the suit is because he's going to lecture you with his lyrics, so heed whatever he has to say.

I love that he calls this next cut "2 Commas" instead of a million; I love when people find different ways to say something, it'll surely make anyone who's not a mathematical genius like me think about it for a brief second. Still, overall, it's an ode to knowing your worth & he can do it all "Solo," "Only Time Will Tell," when people will finally heed truthful words like the ones he spoke on that powerfully minimalist outro.
