The Weekly Dip 2/10/23

Valentine’s is just around the corner you guys so for today’s dip, we got a few records that are so hot, they’ll melt the chocolates before you can get them out that heart shaped box. That’s nasty but better yet, they’ll go down smooth like them melting in your mouth.

LaLa x Nanzy Q x ALIZA1K x Weso G - Fuck Me Better (Video)

I don’t drink so I wouldn’t know the slightest thing about drunk sex but apparently, it’s the only way these fuckboys can fuck a girl better & get her wetter than the Henny dripping out that bottle. A lot of dudes, a lot of exes for that matter are not gonna take too kindly to these ladies expressing their sexuality without them but that doesn’t concern these women. They too busy getting their groove on if you know what I mean, wink wink. Not only are these the steamiest visuals you’ll see this year but we also get to see Aliza in a different light, as she hasn’t really gotten in her freaky bag, at least lyrically speaking til now but she slides right into that sex symbol role effortlessly but keep your hands to yourself guys. These ladies ensure us that they the tops & the guys they dealing with are the bottoms.

Samy Mann - hero (Video)

Samy is coming right out the gate with some honesty for his lady & by the looks of it, I don’t think she’s taking it too well. But at least he’s upfront with her, he knows he has a lot of things he needs to work on & is hoping she’d be a little more understanding & empathetic about it. I guess she though he was her knight in shining armor, coming down to rescue her from whatever the case may be, possibly herself but how can someone be your hero when they can barely even save themselves? It’s a record I’m sure a lot of people dealing with shakiness in their relationships can relate to & not only that but, for this being his 1st record out, it’s a damn good start for the swooning crooner!

Angel Cintron - Slide (Reimagined) (Video)

Angel is such a superstar that even her live performances feel like official music videos. If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing her latest rendition to fan favorite “Slide” then you’re sorely missing out. The single alone is an intimate listen but with the visual treatment to go along with, we feel even further connected with the soaring songstress as she belts out these raw emotions with the strings in the back & not just from the violins either but a harpsichord cause clearly when she composed this record, she was an angel sitting atop the floofiest cloud. As stated previously, I hope this isn’t the last time we get to hear these reimagined versions cause man, they’re as great if not better than the originals. How do you do it Angel?

Morgan Gold - Forgiveness (Video)

Morgan Gold pleads for “Forgiveness” in her latest visuals of her magnum opus “MIDAS”. Not only is the record a painfully poignant expressing of her spirituality but the visuals make that a fine point as well. The imagery within the edits add emphasis to the power underlying her words. I’m not even sure if it’s the other woman in question she’s making these vows to change towards, maybe it’s her making these promises to herself as her actions have her torn from within, between who she is & who she could be, then again, maybe the promises are as empty as she felt watching her departure. It’s one of her most somber performances to date & will surely have you striving for the betterment of yourself, especially for the sake of others.

Meech Bold - UNITED STATES V. MEECH BOLD (Video)

Taken from his latest release “28”, we get the visual treatment to him fighting for his life against the US. Meech lays out his plans for the subsequent years to follow in beautiful fashion on this performance. The bravado & gusto that he comes through with while swinging each bar at the United States showcases how confident he is that he’ll achieve everything he’s told himself he would, by that age at that. The visuals are quite simple but that’s just so you can really focus in on the barrage of interpersonal lyrics that he’s spitting here.

HOODLUM - SWITCHES (Video)

What can be said about HOODLUM that hasn’t already been said at this point? You would think with all the contents you see within his visuals that he wouldn’t be as consistent about his grind as he is but not even the drink in his cup can slow him down. Whenever he & Ace link up for a visual, it’s trouble. Their chemistry is unmatched. Hoodlum even states himself that even if he’s tired that he’s still gonna be running shit like it’s his last lap around the sun. This also marks the 1st time, if I’m not mistaken, that we get just one song in the visual, usually it’s two!
