The Weekly Dip 9/3
We are dancing in September like Earth, Wind & Fire by adding a little bit of new for your weekend. We are excited for you to see what we got in store for the weekly dip this week since I know you’ll be swimming in it in no time. So after you dive into Drake’s CLB, make some time for the weekly dip; you won’t be disappointed.
Bairi - Paraíso
This week's most talked-about record isn't from Kanye or Drake but from the beautiful songstress Bairi who recently released her anticipated single "Paraíso" to the masses. We actually got to hear the track a bit early before everyone else, and even then, we were blown away by the sensational sounds she expressed out of this ballad. The woman's flower is such a sacred gift, and it’s her permission to let anyone in her garden. Enter into her paradise with acceptance beyond fate's desires while providing her pleasure in every way necessary. We get such a passionate record here that showcases a little bit of Bairi that we haven't seen before, including her speaking Spanglish in a chorus that draws you into her musical kingdom. You witness her beauty in a way she wants you to see her perfection close up. Up ahead and past heaven's gate to a euphoric beginning with no end is found in this powerful soundscape. Bairi is beyond greatness when she starts that angelic voice of hers going, and I'm glad to see many more people finding her light and making it brighter for the future.
Fast Money Devo - No Hook
Fast Money Devo, formerly known as Dev Almxghty, is moving quickly with the releases since he recently dropped his second visual of the year in two weeks titled “No Hook” with DGreen Filmz behind the lens. Diamonds dancing from his grillz to his watch, Devo isn’t pulling any punches when delivering an onslaught of raps to put these broke boys back in hiding while the real stand tall and conquers back where he once reigned in. You made the worst mistake in counting him out, but he’s here to assure you that he damn sure ain’t backing down but instead beating down the block with the flex he’s serving while your hating ass is lurking from the sideline wondering how you can win like him. He’s made haste to get back where he was before being locked up, and now he’s headhunting any competition moving forward since on the way up is where he wants to be, while success is knocking on his door.
Rxalu Loaded - Shotta
Continuing to patiently wait for his long-anticipated album "Sewer Baby" to surface, Rxalu Loaded decided to serve up another record for his fans & listeners titled "Shotta" to hold them over until he's ready with a release date. The single is charged up to the velocity we've come to expect from Rxalu, who's combative with the wordplays while setting the room ablaze when he starts spitting. The raps are explosive, especially when he starts walking down the beat, and the visual presented by Dan2TheL showcases that dedication he's known for. You have yet another reason why he's on everyone's list for the next best thing coming out of Texas. The darkened scenery is quite the best way of reflecting his powerhouse ability in rap since whether the way he's seen he shine brights through it, and that's a perfect way to explain his talent.
Prada Mama - Big Prada
Ever since her single "Hilary Banks" dropped back in May, we anticipated the next single from Prada Mama to come out soon after. While we waited patiently, we actually got something better earlier this week. Prada Mama took the time to put in work on the low where she surprised many of her fans with a 6-track EP titled "Big Prada," where she embarks through a series of raps about her expensive taste and the grind she's putting in to be in the place she's currently succeeding in. Prepare to be in "Trauma," thinking you can test her patience. She's clearly flawless and superior, as the looks she flashing with her perfected style. Flexing like this ain't easy, so don't dare try it unless you got the drip like her. Features on the project include Iman Nunez & Sco, who appear on the record "Break Bread," where she establishes her path ahead with money stacked to the ceiling and no one needed to do but herself. Men continue to parade behind her just to get a taste, but little do they know it won't be easy for them to see anything until Prada gets her way which she will by any means necessary.
The Musalini & O FINESS - Box Apple
Towards the end of August, The Musalini released a new record with O FINESS titled "Box Apple" that supplies an arsenal of suave raps to the Funk Shui production, which is conducted with a laid back sample that's delivering back to back verse from two prominent emcees. Pressed with pimp game wordplays, The Musalini is having his verses apply pressure with ease, and while spitting the luxury rhymes, you can check your lady skirt to see if they wet after one of his verses. O FINESS is bleeding the block dry with vigorous lines that once he executes, you're going to think twice to test his patience. Creating the type of street products that would be found in a junkie's spoon is the type of flows you can expect to hear from both artists. It's that fine China that will have you feeling satisfied & tranquil at the same time.
Mduke - 100,000 Miles
Continuing the run of his May album “Don’t Look Down,” Mduke delivered a visual treatment to his record “100,000 Miles” that dropped yesterday evening with an array of fans pushing forward to see the views run-up for the video to see outstanding numbers before the weekend. It’s cool if you aren’t up for this; just wish him well. Mduke is leading the blind on his journey since he doesn’t know what’s next to come for him. He knows the road ahead is planned for him but can’t seem to know if it’s the right path or not. He is making what he thinks is the right direction, and if this is the route he’s destined for, then he’ll make it mean something because he’s gone too far to head back now. The track itself was already a fan-favorite hit, and to now have a video to go along with its success should have no problem with gaining traction for the rest of September.
D’Shaun & DeShaunJay - VirgoSZN EP
Two DeShaun’s is better than one which you can clearly hear that this statement is true since, on the dual collaboration of DeShaun Jay + D’Shaun, they bring such a boastful and lyrical inclination on their latest EP titled “Virgo SZN.” It was a different step forward since we usually see these two emcees making a push forward on the solo tip but being a combined force works for them, which any record on the tape is a shining example of that. I also see that a visual is on the way from the duo with the goat QNTM behind the lens, so I expect we’ll see more releases from them in the near future.
RxddioActiv - And 1
Posted on The Musalini IG story, we got introduce to Harlem native RxddioActiv by way of his most recent visuals titled "And 1". He's making an attempt to score with the plug while dunking on the block, showing skills like the And 1 mixtape era days. RxddioActiv is serving up the raps nicely while dishing out potent wordplays that are crossing his opps like AI in the paint. The hoop life has him hitting threes with a wet shot in the visual while his cheerleader in an orange thong is shaking ass in applause with the wins he's getting. He adds plenty of basketball puns to his rhymes that showcase his unique draw like he's alley looping this record to a championship shot. He delivers boisterous line after line that will have you looking at the scoreboard on occasions to see how many buckets he's scoring in the 4th quarter to complete another win.
Sonya Moon feat BG3 - Hot In Texas
Living in Texas, the days can get hot, and when you don't think they can get any hotter, they do. Sometimes when the days are looking like that, you just want to sit by the pool and take a dip to cool off, which brings me to the latest track that reached our radar by way of fellow videographer Greg Wallace who's behind the lens for this summer single by Sonya Moon titled "Hot In Texas." The record features BG3 that delivers a little bit of spice to cool down listeners for the heatwave. Sitting in the pool & posted by Deco Pizzeria serving the paleta ice creams, Sonya Moon is staying cool the way she knows how by embracing the heat & looking fly in the process. The feeling is so infectious that you can sense the cool breeze of the chorus & her sensational voice that you hear throughout the listening experience, which mimics the vibes in the viewing. You can't forget about BG3, who's supplying the raps that match well with the vibrant sounds of Sonya, where his flow is easily compared to the sun on how hot they both consume the Texas atmosphere. Repping Texas from their head to their toes, you already know you can never go wrong with Texas representation like this going strong.
