Malik Baptiste - WHO!? (Single)

All praise to the good folks over 93KurtLoder who, during the week put us on to Malik Baptiste by way of his latest release titled “WHO!?”. His impeccable rhyming cadence is displayed in a prestigious manner for the record that sounds astronomically pleasing from beginning to end. The level of creativity on the record alone is incredible, and we haven’t even talked about the video that was released simultaneously as the single and how its visually striking introduction to the artistry was enough to make us fans of the ATX native instantly and guarantee to have many listeners & viewers gravitating to the release in no time.

Malik describes this record as a story of no longer delaying the inevitable; he had been gone from music too long, and now his time to shine is here. He shares the vision with those waiting for him to cross that finish line and is zooming with dedication in his passage seat and hesitant in the rearview mirror, with a warning from his peers to take it easy, but he’s already motioning himself to go forward with nothing stopping him. There's no need to give attention to those that attempt to halt him in place; he’s got shit to prove, and riding alongside him is the torch and the truth. Who do you know is giving out pressure like this? Not a goddamn person, Malik is restless at night to continue giving you the blessings he’s desired to provide; ain’t shit like this happen overnight. It comes with commitment and perseverance to achieve the greatness he knows he ought to be delivered, where the question will no longer be who anymore but with the simple reply being : Malik Baptiste. I couldn’t stress the amount of grace this record brings, production & mixing, all done by Malik. He raised the bar high, passed to the point that most of you rappers aren’t seeing it for a while or might never. Think about your talent twice, and understand Malik Baptiste is otherworldly with the creativity that your whole catalog probably lacks compared to his work. Don’t try to stop what you can’t, or you might get run over. The visual for the record is insane; he’s in a room that almost looks similar to Bruce Wayne’s garage in The Dark Knight with a red Toyota MR2 in the background to create the scenic vibe that almost feels like his own hyperbolic chamber where we have just seen him re-enter back to the world to begin his journey back up again.

I’m excited to have found the record and get a prominent intro to his craft. Malik is definitely an artist I recommend everyone to get hip to, and those that prayed on his return never happening, count your days. We highly encourage y’all to check out both his record and visual here while sharing them both on all social media avenues.
