After taking a three-month sabbatical from releasing music, Izzy93 assured fans that new content was being cooked up and vaulted, where he would be dropping something very soon to show the progress he had been making with his craft. Being a man of his word, during the weekend, we got a new Retro Moy-directed visual titled “Go This Hard” that showcases the Exit 2 baby in an auto-tune cadence throughout the record explaining the sacrifices he’s endured to make it this far and what more will it take to see the impact finish in the long run. It’s another exciting viewing to see Izzy posted on a luxury home with scenes capturing him showing his close family, friends, and of course, the money in had everywhere he roams.
Izzy93 begins to contemplate questions about his success; if the money wasn’t coming in anymore, would y’all still love him? It explains the reasons for his vices when you have thoughts like this, starving your conscience instead of feeding it. He faces his demons, knowing all the shit he had to go through and do to get him in the position he’s in, still seeking the light at the end of the tunnel, knowing if it was all for something worthy. Izzy93 becomes a bit more personal in this release, something we have seen scattered in previous tracks but not out in the open as he does here. Izzy has grown to become more than just your typical trap rapper; he speaks with eminent substance, speaking on the harsh truths that the streets can take on someone's psyche. It all becomes a blur for him, so when he speaks on real shit, it almost feels surreal for him; he can’t hear anything but those days of hustling by night and day instead of the triumphant his music brings, and he explains that there more pressure that comes with the wins. He wants to show there are more options to make it out instead of trapping and robbing because 9/10 your life will be cut short, chasing the bag. Getting the paper by any means necessary is still in the works for Izzy. Still, instead of returning to his old ways, he’s found new opportunities in being gifted and blessed with helping to get his people out of the mud in one process; the music. Izzy93 is the savior of the city and the hope we need to know it’s possible to achieve your goals in a place so polluted with hate; Izzy comes out clean, not letting the little affect his grind. He sticks to the script with his head held high to take on the next obstacle in his journey with full force.
No telling where this track might lead; Izzy has been very secretive about when & where new music will surface. If you ask me, he might be preparing for something significant dropping very soon, but in due time, we’ll know for sure.
