Ginga Soul feat A’sean - Karmic (Single)

After being on a brief hiatus since her 2021 EP, “On My Mind,” Ginga Soul surprised fans yesterday evening when she dropped a new single featuring A’sean titled “Karmic” that was accompanied by a visualizer to the single posted on her social media where we couldn’t get away to seeing and hearing her newest ballad. It’s one of those neatly poised R&B records with substance in the tone and passion in the heart where your soul with sit with ease as you hear Ginga spin a vivid tale in a bliss cadence.

How does the old saying go? Karma is b***h, and now Ginga Soul is dealing with its effect. Thinking she met someone new only to discover the same traits as the person before them that took her love for granted. It’s got her contemplating that if this person just switched bodies with someone else to cause her grief again, Ginga feels like she’s losing her mind, and the time wasted trying to come to those woeful conclusions is settling in her mind. She’s dealing with the trauma you left her in, and she’s been trying to put the pieces back together ever since. She begins to reminisce about the features of this previous love interest since they fit the perfect person for her, and while she knows it’s wrong to feed into the feeling, she has some slight connection still, which is hard for her to lose. A’Sean sentimental verses feel like he’s punishing himself for being stuck in this psyche prison, wanting to leave, while the other half of him knows he’s stuck, so he falls for the tricks and instead allows him to sink slowly back down. Ginga Soul & A’Sean creates this painful feeling in attempting to break away from hurt, and still, it’s hard also to let go. Thinking things will change for them to get worse, and you blame yourself, it’s a dreadful way to live, but they look past it and hope to grasp happiness again.
