Vayda - Forrest Gump (Album)
On our last review featuring Vayda, we talked about being excited for her new release “Forrest Gump,” thinking it was just a single to be surprised with a whole ass album where within the 12-tracks have, Vayda putting on clinical with her alluring performance featured throughout this album, that got her feeling goated with setting the trend for all eyes to be on her for 2024.
Swayed with an array of freshly squeezed production and her suaveness ability to be cute and puncture in the cut with her bravado turning heads throughout this release got Vayda feeling herself. With the fast-paced efforts and eccentric style of tracks like “Oprah” & “Tweaker,” Vayda is parading around this feel-good attitude in the atmosphere of her project, knowing that there ain’t a woman out there doing it like her. She’s boastful with a blissful approach, serving her cunning aura to the masses while still maintaining her prominent status to a T. With her fan-favorite record “Hood Zendaya” booming through social media, creating a buzz for her to be the next best thing, she capitalizes on it by dropping records like “Adele” & “Keep It On Display” that I can highlight as potential hits to fanbase that will catch on pretty quick. The project is much more than it’s made up to be; while the production portrays a tranquil essence, Vayda buries her soul within the tracks with her emotions flowing through her wordplays. Speaking on her vulnerability while getting over past friendship and mistakes, Vayda puts herself deep within these tracks that can get overflooded but hearing her story within these tracks shows there is more than meets the eye; she uses this project as a gateway to get over people you don’t need in your life, be the best you the best way you know how. Vayda did something unique with this project, I was a fan before, and now I’m Vayda stan; she be doing some uplifting shit with her talent, and I respect that; not too many artist can, and she makes it look way too easy.
Big things are heading her away for 2024; I can feel it. I’m hoping her presence is seen during SXSW. I would like to see her music live and hopefully get an interview. She is one of the top five artists I need to see in the new year, and if you don’t have her on your radar, then make sure to make better choices in life and get started here by checking it out and sharing it around on all social media platforms.
