Bairi - Paraíso (Video)

At the top of the year, Bairi shared some personal news with her fans about her heavily anticipated visual to her hit single, “Paraíso.” When she received the finished video, she felt it wouldn’t be the right thing to have the video surface if she wasn’t fully committed to it. We can always respect and support an artist’s choice regarding their releases. Usually, an artist doesn’t get to choose when their music drops which is a downright shame but here, Bairi got to choose, and we know she chose right. She was frustrated not with the hard work done behind the scenes for the video but with how she perceived it. She wanted this video to be perfect since the record meant so much to her, and while some might think she’s overreacting, wanting something to be perfect, remember that Dr. Dre has held out on an album for the last two decades since he still feels like it’s not ready for the world. We understand when it comes to your talent and art that, you want to see the best of you come out of it, which is why we understood Bairi’s decision. Recently, she spoke about the whole situation and confessed that all of the frustration had her contemplating regret and found her entering somewhat of a downward spiral. It was hard hearing that from such a wholesome person, but she continued saying that she found more of herself during her journey and lived with the success of the single and, of course, the love of people close to her. She ended her post by announcing that the full visual would be dropping at the end of August and thanked everyone for patiently waiting, and hoped this would make up for the time. We were blessed to initially see the video when she shared an initial preview of it since we have been fans of her work for so long. However, I can tell you I was still waiting among the rest of everyone else to watch the video and getting first-time reactions. At last, yesterday evening, the video sparked attention throughout social media, with many fans and viewers designating praise and positive feedback for Bairi, which I’m sure she took as one of the biggest highlights of her time.

The visual opens up to Bairi glowing in this purple hue before she reacts with explosive energy crawling over the mirrored surface below her. The background starts moving with bodies and hands mimicking Bairi’s dance routine while they lean against the drape creating a spiritual awakening feeling. The video then reveals Bairi surrounded by four mysterious figures who also imitate her movement, then launches you into the heavenly sounds of the single’s chorus. The visual for this release is just too incredible; it creates a sonic reaction to her record and visually strikes it to perfection. Over the meadows of stone & crystals lies Bairi brewing the vital description of the single’s message before we enter the cover art of the record to one of my favorite parts of the visual. Darken by a blue hue, Bairi parades around the mysterious figures as they embrace her beauty and channel it through an aura, seeing her welcoming a new stage of herself that is more enlightened with fearless endurance. It could be the switch from seeing Bairi turn into the Fire Siren right before our very eyes, which is the hope we’re right about this guess, especially with an EP with the same name following up this video release.

I love that people are finally getting the chance to see this video come to life; I can only imagine the emotions that Bairi is going through right now; we wish her nothing but the utmost respect and praise for being an artist who found herself again and is letting more of it out in her music.
