Giovannie & The Hired Guns feat Bo Bundy - Ramon Ayala (Remix) (Video)

Since last year, Bo Bundy had shared interest in creating music in a different genre other than rap and had been teasing photos & BTS footage that showed a bit more rock & roll influences which many assumed would be the genre we would see him tackle, which sure enough it was. Earlier this morning, we saw Bo Bundy featured on the remix to Giovannie & The Hired Guns 2021 single “Ramon Ayala.” The record was already this alternative smash hit with explaining that while at the end of the day we’re not anything special, just like everyone else, we get drunk listening to Ramon Ayala & I don’t think anything can top that logical thinking. Now with Bo Bundy's addition, he mixes the rock & roll aesthetic with Tejano that truly breaks down barriers and creates a new wicked sound for you to either roll one up to or drink yourself crazy to in a social setting.

The video starts with Giovannie & The Hired Guns posted on a bus that looks like it would survive the apocalypse with Bo Bundy shotgun with the band with glimpses of him strumming a guitar throughout the scene. Giovannie stunningly showcases his vibrato while the band signals chaos in their instruments to construct a lengthy rock sound. The background scenery is industrial creations with many other shots showing Bo & the band living life to the fullest at the skatepark that mimics shots in 2000 alternative videos. I love to see the callback to the era in the visual, and there are plenty of them here. The video directed by Barf does an incredible job in creating such an artistic viewing reminding ourselves of the good ol days of being out and not overthinking the future, just enjoying life without a care in the world. The song was already a catchy hit due to the chorus and verses following by Giovannie & The Hired Guns which gave us a vital introduction in this release. Bo Bundy adds his characteristic over the joint filled with grunge lines and a melancholy verse that fits well with the genre and one that I’m excited to see him flourish well in. Best of both worlds in one record, and you can expect us to be reciting it over and over this upcoming weekend.

Just a few hours out, and it’s already exceeding over one thousand views, I see it doubling by the end of the day and at least in the 15 mark by the start of next week. It’s exciting to see two different artists collaborate to excel in the sounds in music, I'm hoping more collaborations like this will come to fruition in the future, but for now, we’ll enjoy this as we hope you all will do the same.
