7098 - Dyin 4 U (Single)
Still relatively fresh off last year’s magnum opus “Until Next Time”, it’s evident that “next time” has finally arrived with 7098’s first drop of the new year, just in time for Valentine’s Day too! Nothing like an artist who has enough love for his supporters to bless those who may not have a Valentine, for any reason. The moodily melancholy new single of his finds him getting lost within this new love that has entered his life. A lot of us, including myself can heavily relate. Particularly those who have never really felt love like that are more susceptible to falling head over heels, despite the red flags that present themselves from the very beginning, which we always tend to ignore until it all comes to a head.
It’s easy to die for someone but even harder to live for them. Especially in his line of work, I’m sure he’s busy to the point where, he may not have all the time in the world to be there for her as much as he undoubtedly would love to. But for her, for the right person, he’s more than willing to, at the very least, take some time to tend to her needs. It’s not like he’s gonna stop putting in that work to continue building their foundation for the future & is ever so grateful that he has someone who’s faithfully down for the cause. You can’t blame him for getting lost within her, it’s clearly true love & emotions he’s expressing towards this woman.
Loyalty as such is something that’s very rare in a lot of people & he notices hers as well as her noticing his so, the bond is so strong that, they don’t even need to be together all the time or at all to maintain that loyalty. I’m sure lots of women try to holler at him & vice versa but neither of them seem interested in giving them the time of day. No potential for them to be a significant other or even a friend with benefits, whatever that is. The emotional maturity that 7098 exhibits here is impeccable & it really inspires men like myself to better learn to regulate my own. It can feel personal growing apart but sometimes it’s necessary along the journey. I know I said he wouldn’t but, it’s clear that if he was needed, he would drop everything for her, the love runs that deep on this beautifully poignant teaser of what’s to come.
