Mibbs - Transit (Single)
After teasing back in December that a new track would be arriving within the first two months of the new year, Mibbs announced in late January that his next single titled “Transit” off his upcoming EP, “House & Garden,” would be surfacing in the second week of February. In the days leading to the initial release, he showed previews of the video that would drop before the single became available. He then followed it with the cover art for the record & description that the track was produced by his Pac Div brethren, Like, which got us more excited to see the entire product come to life. Earlier in the week, the video surfaced with many fans and viewers admiring the DeLaGrim-directed visual, showing admiration for the quotable lines by Mibbs & stunning features of the video’s aesthetics.
“This Is Not a Nordstorm, where you get your Decor From?”
Mibbs is serving up heaps of the suaveness on this record which he’s known to produce on illustrious production like this here. He’s stone-cold stunnering the opposition with boisterous raps in such a profound manner that you already know he’s just getting started to run his reign moving forward. The natural vibe of the visual showcasing Mibbs in dawn to dusk is immaculate and one of the finest transitions we’ve seen in a while; kudos for sure to DeLaGrimm on the lens work. The collaboration of Mibbs & Like is still fresh even after all these years; some of the toughest records to date came out with them attached to it, and I’m hoping more can be heard on the upcoming EP.
If “Transit” & “Joy” are any indication of what’s coming from “House & Garden,” then best believe we are overly hyped on this side. Mibbs is on par to deliver another sensational project on his flourished catalog. With the reunion of Pac Div to show up on The Cool Kids' upcoming album & The Smokers Club Festival, I’m sure we can hope to see music surface in the near future. Be sure to check out the latest release from Mibbs here while sharing it around on all social media avenues.
