Spec Kay, Dubbisdope, Jay Wile - DiscoTech - Maxi Single (EP)

Don’t you miss those Maxi singles? I have a couple of them myself still. Imagine finding this gem in a stack of them at some record store. Without a doubt, you’d be so delighted cause them boys in the almighty FRITOGANG sure as hell know how to stop the floor when it comes to these funky grooves of theirs & their latest to that ever growing catalog might just be the best out of all of them. This is damn near like, Parliament 2022, you gonna need to get the skates on cause this about to be taking over the roller rink! Dubb is dope for a reason & when it comes to production as such, not many can touch his skills. The cover art alone is on some future vintage shit, with the classic floppy disk format & the bad bitch double cheeked up on this latest Primo production. Whatever Feels Good indeed but I guarantee, whatever vibes you may come across, they ain’t gonna feel any better than this number.

You know once that beat kicks in, you’re about to be bobbing your head until your neck is bleeding, might even tear a muscle with all the leg work you’ll no doubt be putting in cause this demands you to be on that dance floor. Spec Kay comes through sliding with some of the cleanest bars to ever enter into a record with. The syllable play & charisma exuded throughout his verse is as swaggering as expected, he just got that bravado about him. You know the ladies are swarming to him once he glides onto this beat, let alone into the function to shut shit down. He’s just too smooth when it comes to empowering the ladies he can’t keep his eyes off of. Whenever he speaks, they gotta be left swooning, head over heels just to get a taste of the irresistible flavor he has to offer them.

Jay Wile is the perfect crooner to ensure that the ladies do just that when this record comes on. When has that man ever not delivered an infectious hook or melody? Easily one of the finest vocalists you’ll ever have the privilege of hearing bless literally any record. Call it biased but you can never really go wrong with him. Any girl will tell you that when he lets you know that you got it, he means that shit & it’s one hell of a compliment to get from someone like him. You’d be well advised to not bring your girl around any of these gentlemen, especially the D to the U to the double B, anybody spelling their name out is the real deal. All in all, it’s just another record that proves how musically inclined these FRITOGANG alumni continue to be. They’re so dope that even the acapella version, as well as the clean version still stops the floor, they just got that rhythm deeply embedded to their bones. Don’t you dare try to freestyle over that instrumental though cause I highly doubt you’ll be able to execute as they have.
